Patricia O'Donnell grew up in the small town of Parkersburg, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is a Professor Emerita in Creative Writing at the University of Maine at Farmington. Her latest novel, The Vigilance of Stars, was the fiction choice for the 2020 "Read ME" library program. Her new novel A Symmetry of Husbands will be published by Unsolicited Press in late 2023.
