A.D. Seeley was raised in the wilds of Utah without television, which was quite conducive to the development of her imagination. For as long as she can remember, she has made up stories to lull herself to sleep, even to this day. Rarely interested in stories without darkness and pain, her interest in Vlad the Impaler led to a dream about Cain that eventually became the basis for The Cain Chronicles. Though in the city now, she still lives in Utah with her dog and stories.

Instead of writing something new, I worked on my next series, Evolved. I edited like crazy and just got them as ready as possible. All while thinking about how to put something seriously cool together to come up with an idea that I could be seriously passionate about like I was with The Cain Chronicles and my upcoming Evolved trilogy.(less)

In Cain, it was …moreI've always been so imaginative, and it's just really fun being able to get that out. I always write books where I make my own rules. In Cain, it was how he was immortal. Could he get hurt? If so, how? Then I got to go to my favorite parts in history and rewrite them with the "truth." That was a blast. My upcoming series Evolved is about an evolved species of human. Making the rules of their culture was a blast! I learned so much about not judging what I might think is weird, because it might actually be beautiful. Now I'm working on a novel about Elysium and Tartarus, so again, I get to make my own rules. I'm still figuring that world out, which is the funnest thing in the world.(less)
