In a Sharing Mood....
Here is a poem from my book, SHED.
Meet Me Halfway by T.L. Davis
For so long I had stood at crossroads
This mind stayed on the past
These feet muddied in the present
And no sign of life in the near future
The wrath of turbulent times
Had formed a rapture of never-ending pain
Following me for what seemed to be an eternity
And seeking to bury this soul
Deep into the hell of misery
Exhaustive bouts had drained the best of life from me
As far as these eyes could see
But my vision had become blurred
Due to the pain that strained their sight
For some time now they have been sealed shut
To avoid the question of what is to come
For I still cannot comprehend what came before
At times I heard voices whispering to me
But was afraid to hear their words
Yet one voice had become louder
And profoundly clearer
It asked me if I was ready to move
I answered yes
It asked me to open my eyes
I could not
These lids had been closed for so long
So I began to cry
And slowly my vision came into focus
As I found myself standing at the same crossroads
Yet something was different
When I looked into the distance
I saw myself on the other side
With welcoming arms and extended hands
Voicing gentle pleas to take one chance
Meet me halfway
And so I did

Its Done! Really Done!
Okay. "Conversations" is finally, completely done. And I do mean done. It is not in ebook form or available to Amazon YET, but it will be soon. However, the paperback is available NOW at https://www.createspace.com/4157595.
I am so ecstatic that the rewrites, additions, and approval stage is over. I received my proof in the mail a couple of weeks ago and I kept wanting to change it. I finally threw my hands up and decided to be DONE WITH IT! So please be sure to order your copy.
In other awesome news I have begun my next project entitled, "THE CALL". Imagine my face when I saw the trailer for Halle Berry's new movie with the same title. How dare she! Lol. Oh well. I'm sure her movie will be good, but I am counting on my book to be better. ;)

Review: Straight No Chaser
Straight No Chaser by Janice JadeMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
I downloaded this book, not knowing that it was one of self-help. However, I like this category. And even if I did not, I think I would have liked the book nonetheless. I would not be a responsible reader if I did not advise that Straight No Chaser has quite a few grammatical errors that, at times, interrupted the flow of my reading. With that being said, the book is worth reading if you are a woman that finds herself in relationships with the same type of man, outcomes, and mistakes. Its refreshing that the author speaks to the reader as if they are in the comfort of her home, having a candid conversation with a group of women. I must say that I admire her for the courage displayed in writing about personal experiences that exposes her past mistakes. Admittedly, Straight No Chaser, started off as any other relationship book. However, the "CAKE" chapter and all that followed perked up my pupils and kept my mind revisiting my past relationships. I found myself saying "Amen" to many of the author's points and having to own up to others. This is an honest piece of work. So please...brace yourself
