That's the way you do it...
I aimed low and finished my goal early. So new goal: 15,000 words by Sunday, January 19. 1000 words on Saturday, 1000 words on Sunday. Easy-Peasy.

Yeah, that'd be great...
Well it took me until today to get those 10,000 words. Don't know how powerful they are. Now, new goal. 13,000 words by Friday. No....Monday. 13,000 words by 1/20. Aim low.

Happy January 6th?
Well this is the new year. I met absolutely none of my goals last year. I started working on a two books-but didn't finish and don't care to.
So THIS year I will finish the thing I'm working on now. I will read more. So two goals. Read more, finish what I started.
We'll see.

What Writer's Eat...
Macaroni and cheese with sauteed Baby Bella mushrooms, crumbled bacon and parsley flakes. Lovely. No low-cal here, I'm working VERY hard don't ya' know?
Ok, back to work. I have a nice sturdy outline and I'm on schedule-SO I say HUZZAH to you all. Good day. Wow, that was dorky.

So good at book blogging...
Or not. I took a break from one book, started another and then went back to clean up and finish yet another. AND last night I got another great story idea.
Stop it brain-you have to finish your other stuff first. So Imma do that.
I'll let you know how it goes.

2013 Writing Goals
1. Sell ten books a day.
2. Publish the follow up to The Soul Schematic
3. Finish my 1/2 done novel.
4. Write and publish a romance novel.
5. Start my 1945 novel.
6. Put together a trailer for The Soul Schematic and The Time Tinkerer.
Only six things, but they are pretty ambitious. Oh well, time is ticking. My literary clock is winding down. Pound that keyboard, push those pages and all that.
Ok, that's enough. Gotta write!

Who is photo bombing who?
This has nothing to do with writing. My daughter and Thomas. I don't know why but this made me laugh....

Ripper...
Do you know what would make me happy? An entire day with nothing to do. Let's say a quiet-snowy day , the sky filled with fat floating snowflakes. I'll also need a warm room with a tall window and THE chair. The perfect chair with just the right amount of fluff but firm too and big enough so that I can pull my feet up. Also, add a heavy quilt, nothing with wool--too itchy. I want a mug of hot sweet coffee and a some chocolate. I'll be wearing worn flannel P.J.'s and my hair will be piled loosely on top of my head. And in my hands, oh yeah baby, in my hands will be...Fabio.
No, not the real Fabio because...well he's really old now and all that body oil and long blond hair all over my stuff, just no. What I mean is a bodice ripper or even a contemporary romance, that's good too.
Now I like literature as well as anyone. Steinbeck makes me sigh. My goodness that man was nice to words. And currently I'm reading Les Miserables, (yes just because of the movie). I'm 3% in on my Kindle and I swear that's like 200 pages and I still haven't heard from Fantine or Jean Valjean-WHY SO LONG MR. HUGO!
But there is nothing like a good old stack of second-hand Harlequins to make my day. Judge me, I don't care! In fact I really thought that was what I would write someday. They are short, and exciting and fun and sooooo-----why not? In 2013, I am going to make it my goal to write not just a romance, but a HARLEQUIN romance. I know-I know GO INDIE OR GO HOME. I've read about how they treat their writers, blah-blah-blah. I don't care. I want to say that I wrote a Harlequin romance, just because. I think that would be cool.
As of this day I have written 306 words and in those words have introduced one really hot computer tech--freshly showered and only wearing a towel--coming to the rescue of a distraught blogger who has lost her pictures...Oh my! I'll let you know how it's going...gotta go write some more...

All that and a bag of chips...
NANOWRIMO day 13 and people that I've killed have come back to life (no it's not a zombie story). Actually, people that existed now don't and the good guy--well the dude done turned bad. There's a dead kid chatting in the corner and the bad guy--well he didn't turn good but he isn't as bad as before. Plot? Nah. Theme? Nope. Allegory? Hell, I don't even know what that is.*
Also, the store on the corner charges $4.00 for a bag of Doritos. So for the salt and fat deprivation that my literary aspiration has created, I bought these instead.
Only in Maine. And no, no they were not good.
*OHHHH, allegory. Yes, I've got that. Sort of.
