'Fireman' thoughts

The concept of 'horror' is subjective. As a horror author, I like to try new things (sometimes to my detriment, ahem). Terror takes many guises, and it's these disguises I like to explore. One person's dread is another person's joy. Fire has always fascinated me. It's rare that I don't have at least one candle burning in my house at night. And during the colder months, I like to light the open fire that seduces and induces with its dancing flames. I go into a trance when I stare into a fire and I have seen that same dreamy look on other people's faces. There's just something about a fire, but make no mistake, it can be your best friend or worst enemy. The flaming heart of 'Fireman' lies in this juxtaposition.
