Stephen Joyce’s route to becoming an author has been a diverse one. Part of his early career was spent working on a support ship to an aircraft-carrier, where one of the ship’s duties was to provide a target for the aircraft-carriers’ fighter/bombers to attack. Additionally, on occasions, his ship would be requested to go dark in order to provide hunting material for ‘friendly’ submarines. Experiences that proved to be memorable. In the later part of his career, he went on to establish his own cyber security consultancy, working with some of the UK’s largest financial institutions.
