Award-winning author Angela N. Blount is a Minnesota native, transplanted to the deep South--where she currently resides with her understanding husband, their four children, and a small menagerie of rescue animals. She is a staff book reviewer for Young Adult Books Central, a memoirist (though, not much a fan of referring to herself in first-person *cough*), sporadic poet, and webcomic artist.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys reading, thrifting, coffee shop loitering, questionable attempts at horticulture, and all things geeky.

Angela is a PRO member of the Romance Writers of America, and was named a finalist in the 2012 Sheila, Laurie, and Orange Rose contests. She also took first place in the 2012 OKRW

Hello, Madi! :) So sorry for the delay.

I've always loved stories. I was actually very slow to pick up reading when I was in the first grade, until a teacher figured out that I could learn much better if she had me write my own little stapled-together books. If you're looking for an origin point, I'd have to point you there. But the desire to write when I was older... that actually came from a love of reading. Starting in the 5th grade, I read voraciously--mostly as a way to escape from a very difficult and awkward time at school. By 6th grade I'd written my first book all in pencil in a spiral bound notebook. (It was terrible, but it was a start!) From there on, I never really stopped writing.(less)

Angela Blount is on page 109 of 184 of The Housing Boom and Bust: "The point here is not that these particular decisions were bad in themselves--everyone has to make ad-hoc judgement calls at one point or other. But a government's ad-hoc decisions provide no reliable framework for the decisions to be made by millions of other people subject to the government's rules (when those rules are difficult to discern.)"

“I didn't just love him…I needed him. Not in some desperate "you complete me" sort of way. No, Vincent didn’t make me whole. He improved me. Something about him—something I didn't understand—had a way of amplifying the good in my nature while muting the bad. He was a catalyst for my soul. I didn't need him in order to exist...I needed him in order to be a better me.”

Chryssa Thanks for the friend invite Angela~!
Looking forward to sharing opinions on books! :o)

Angela Blount Good point. :)

I'm actually not surprised on the difference of opinion in the HG series. I thought the second one was VERY similar to the first, and I know many people who found that disappointing and non-progressive. And with the last book being more centered on the war than on the characters, I think the high-action/stratagem of it appealed more to males, generally speaking. (My theory, anyway.)

But yes, anyways...enjoy your weekend! ^_^

message 3: by B.P.

B.P. Elkins Well there are like 4 billion books so even having a handful in common is pretty hard to do. Even funnier we were opposite of thinking which hunger games sequal was not so good. Any hoozal-have a good memorial weekend!

Angela Blount Thank YOU for the invite, B.P. ^_^ I'm pleased to meet you. And I hope my ratings/reviews might be helpful to you in prioritizing your to-read list. We seem to have fairly similar tastes in the books we've both read--not an easy thing to come by, in my experience.
