Some Updates
Hello readers!
This week I have spent some time preparing for an exciting event I think you will all enjoy. I am taking place in a book fair, where I will be featuring several authors with interviews, giveaways, and some giveaways of my own. I will write more about that as we get close to the date in February. But be on the lookout for it!
Also, Lunula is now available for the Nook through Barnes and Noble. You can check that out here:
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/Lunul...
It will be available for several other ereaders in the next week or so, and I will keep you posted on that.
Finally, I am writing. Huzzah! I know, I know--expectation met. Well done, writer. However, I am in a bit of a groove, and the sequel to Lunula should be finished by this spring. I realized I left it at a bit of a cliff-hanger, so I feel compelled to finish it as soon as I can! I think you will all really like where Wynn and Gethin's story is going.
Where would you like to see Wynn and Gethin end up? Leave me a comment and let me know!
Much love to you, my faithful readers,
Alyssa Auch

My Interview with The Scroll
I was recently interviewed by the BYU-I school newspaper called "The Scroll." It was a neat experience for me, and I was so happy to get the word out there about my book. My hope is that my fellow students see how possible writing and publishing is, and perhaps even that they read my book and enjoy it! The article can be found here:

Paperback Release
Hello readers!
I'm excited to announce that the paperback version of Lunula should be available by November 20th! You have no idea how much I have been looking forward to physically holding a copy of my book in my hands. I don't know about you, but there's something extra special about real pages!
I also thought I'd add a little factoid about the book. Today's tidbit is about the word "lunula". First of all, I've had a couple of readers ask me how this is pronounced. It is said like this: "lune-you-luh". You can listen to the pronunciation here:
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/lunula
Now, I know on that dictionary site it says a lunula is that half moon shape on your fingernail, and that is right. However, that's not where I got the word! In ancient Rome, young girls wore a necklace called a lunula until the eve of their marriage. It was then taken away as a symbol of becoming a woman. To be fair, I did find it on a Wikipedia article, so I'm not 100% positive on the authenticity of this tradition, but it did give me a great idea of what to name the magical amulet in my book. Here is the article I found:
