Two words for you on this Saturday night. Mark Walsh. Readers familiar with the book will know this reference. For those who have not read the book yet, you will get to know him! And like him. I think… ;)

Hope everyone is well and having a good weekend.

The Male Lead…

Why are they so crush-worthy? We all love a good male lead. The best part about them (when written well) is that they just ooze sex appeal. That sex appeal can be defined by extreme good looks, personality, charm, that specific sparkle that makes them realistic to the point of believable but fantastical enough to be unobtainable. They are so close to seeming like someone you know, but you don't know anyone like that because they just have that simple layer of perfection, that extra small indi...

Stuck indoors?

How's it going? Are you stuck inside on this Monday morning? Did you make it out to work?

We are home. Snow everywhere = cooking = I am not a chef = but I've decided to take a brand new approach to cooking…MORE on all of that SOON.

Working on a new cooking post that will be up as soon as it is ready.

Hope you're all doing well and happy (snowy) Monday.

THANK YOU!

Hello!

Just wanted to write a quick THANK YOU for reading the book. People have written me the kindest e-mails. Your feedback and insight about the book mean so much to me.

When people tell me how the book brightened their day or gave them something to look forward to, I truly beam.

For me, that's what it's all about. If I've helped your day, week, or month along then I feel happy. Sometimes we all need to get lost in a story and live vicariously through someone else's drama. ;)

It's freezing in...

WALSH WEDNESDAYS, POST #5

Welcome to Walsh Wednesdays! Happy Wednesday. If today is Wednesday then that means tomorrow is THURSDAY, aka the gateway to Friday. Hope everyone is having a good week and if you're not it is almost OVER.

Speaking of over, this is the last installment of Walsh Wednesdays. I set out to do it until October 28 per this first post introducing Walsh Wednesdays. I can't believe it has been exactly one month. Wow. Time is certainly speeding by. I will miss our chats, but I will try to keep in touch...

WALSH WEDNESDAYS, POST #4

SO sorry for the major DELAY in posting Walsh Wednesday. This is still WW, Walsh Weekend? Does that work? Happy Walsh Weekend!

Today's topic: Enjoying the ordinary while experiencing the extraordinary.

Storytelling is one of the oldest and simplest art forms. I believe that all great authors are great storytellers. At the heart of every good book is an even better story. What makes a story compelling?

I think there are two things to think about. 1) What is the story actually about?

Are we drawn t...

walsh wednesdays, post #3

Hello out there,

It's WALSH WEDNESDAY. Happy Wednesday and I am definitely smiling knowing tomorrow is Thursday. We can officially say the "latter" part of the week.

I originally pictured these posts as day time uploads. Something to check out on a lunch break, or a fun thing to click on if you saw a tweet about it. Now they are turning into more of an 'evening' post. With nightfall as my backdrop, and a quiet and peaceful night here, it makes the posting at night more fun...sexier even? Maybe....

WALSH WEDNESDAYS, POST #2

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Sorry for the late post. I suppose it's Happy Almost Thursday.

Today's post: Previews

If last week we discussed endings, I figured this week could be a discussion of beginnings. Not "beginning" beginnings, but previews. The "Look Inside" feature on Amazon, for example. Or really any place that allows you to preview a book on your e-reader. Even the blurb of a book I suppose is applicable. I always marvel at what draws me into a book. Is it the subject matter? The dial...
