Daniel Ingram-Brown is an award-winning children's author, creative writing educator and founder of Original Ink.

Based in Yorkshire, he writes stories filled with magic, mystery and wonder. His books include Bea's Witch: a ghostly coming-of-age story, and The Ghosts of the House of Time, the first book in the Inks Academy series, written under the pen name Briar Blackwell. His writing also draws on folklore to explore the nature of stories and reflect on the creative writing process.

The Nemesis Charm, the second book in the Firebird Chronicles series is due to be published in May, so I'm doing lots of work around that at the moment. I'm also working on a book called Stories from the Forests of Leeds with a fantastic illustrator called Si Smith. It's a collection of stories from a creative writing group I've been working with over the past year and is going to be published as a hard back, coffee table book later in the year. And I'm helping a friend with a book called Alphabet Club, which is a collection of stories, poems and essays about faith and sexuality. So it's a busy, busy time, but all exciting work!(less)

BBC Radio Leeds Postbag Guest

I had great fun being the postbag guest on BBC Radio Leeds this Sunday. It was a little nerve racking answering the three random questions pulled out of the postbag but I think I did OK! How would you have answered them? Let me know in the comments!
