Catherine has been writing since she was a child. She always seeking to make an emotional connection with her readers. She started out writing short stories with HEA endings and moved into erotica in her mid-teens. It wasn't until her late twenties that she moved into other genres.

Always a reader she wanted to write like her favourites - Anne Rice, C.S. Lewis and Piers Anthony for example - and strove to hone her craft from cheesy, teenage fantasies to something more gritty. Her erotica became darker and began to have more story to it until eventually she wrote her first novel, a story about a coven of Valkyrie who demanded a tribute of young men from a nearby village once a generation.
