Dr. Stuart Grauer, a teacher, is the founding Head of School at The Grauer School. He also holds positions as President of The Grauer Foundation for Education and Founder of The Coalition for Small Preparatory Schools.

He has been interested in education since he was a young man, becoming the Principal of the International School of Basel, Switzerland at the age of 29.

In 1991 Dr. Grauer founded The Grauer School (www.grauerschool.com) in order to establish humanitarian secondary education in Southern California. He is considered one of the nation’s top authorities on small schools and community education and consults and speaks widely on this area.
