A little bit of satire from my novel, "Two if by Sea," a parody of history, literature and politics.
"As a professor, McGowan was a violent anarchist who idolized peacemaker Mahatma Gandhi. He was also a Buddhist, who preached coexistence and insisted the poor should fight the rich. Actually McGowan had money—he’d inherited a large trust fund, since his father was a real estate investor. But he liked to imagine he was poor."
