S.P.,
That is basically where I am at with writing as well. For the pure freaking love of it! That being said, it would still be cool to be able to make a couple of dollars doing what I love! Maybe I have the chops, maybe not, but like you said, do it right. Good stories, good characters, and stay true to whatever vision you have.
Seriously, man. No problem at all on the Pins. I am all about good folks helping out good folks. Well, I try to be that way. I will definitely pick up your books in the near future, shoot, even the titles rock!!

I freely admit, I kind of "fell into" being an author, so I'm not in it for the money. I have (and always WILL have) the "day job", which allows me to focus on producing a good story with characters (hopefully!) that people can identify with, because that's what I look for in novels I read myself. If I don't "care" about at least ONE (preferably more) character by the end of a book? Well, I just kind of shrug and say, "At least I read it..."

Man, I want to enter. But I saw that I have to have an FaceBook account to do so. I will link it on my "Zombies" board on Pinterest, though.
