Today my publisher Firefly & Wisp announced there would be a BIG surprise for myself and one lucky soul on my Nov 7th release date. Apparently Danielle and the gang have gotten something cool that they are giving me, and if you reply to the post with a guess as to what it is and you're right, you get one too. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. And free stuff is always welcome around here. So... put on your thinking caps and get to guessing. What I'm getting and what the lucky winner get will be announced November 7th on the special event page of Facebook.
With that being said, if we are not friends on the book of Face, then now's the time to get on board the crazy train that's my life as an Author.

What's up peeps? Wow what a crazy summer and beginning of fall here in Texas for me. I've managed to go on a fantastic vacation with the man and added another 3 states to my US travel map. South Dakota was fun but hot, Wyoming was so pretty and a wonderful place to camp, Montana was a quick drive in, drive out but hey it still counts right?

At home we have managed to move to a new house and although we've been here a week there are still lots of boxes still unpacked so if you are bored and want to help, come on over! We will open the door and welcome you in. And even offer a cold beer to you when you finish.

Went back to work in August. Back in the demanding world of the car business. But who can complain when you work with great people?

The big news on the book is that we have a firm release date. October 25th is the big day. The ebook will be available at Amazon.com, bn.com, Smashwords and other fine online retailers. And my publishing company, Firefly & Wisp Publishing will be hosting an online release party on Facebook at 7pm CST/8pm EST. I really hope to see all of you there.

Well perhaps there were things that were broken and now that these issues are known, the owner has began to envision a whole new FF&W. And that can only mean good things for all of us. Especially the authors! New editorial staff & marketing staff have been brought in. A brand new website is being developed and something really cool for our fans. I'm not at liberty to tell what it is at this moment but I will have it featured here on the front page as soon as the announcement is made. So even tho last week scared me with the things that happened, this week has given me so many reasons to be proud of the company that I'm a part of. And I'm truly excited to see where we will all be this time next year.

HOLY COW! The last 24 hours have been as surreal as anything a writer can imagine. I woke up late because I stayed awake reading "Fifty Shades of Grey" until after 2am. Pretty much the first thing I do is roll over and grabbed my cell and see what has happened in the world in the 6 or so hours that I've been in la la land. I always check text first because that's the important stuff that can't wait on email. I see a msg from Lisa and click it. I only see (mostly b/c I don't have my reading glasses on and I still have sleepy eyes) "Thought you may like seeing this page :) makes it a little more real... http://www.fireflyandwisp.com/Authors...

Well I only saw the firefly and wisp part and kinda got excited. The link carries me to the publishers page and when I glance down the list I see my name. Since my son was born and I met Bob I have honestly not had a moment that I was so happy that I couldn't breathe. My name on a publishers website under the heading AUTHORS.

Even as I type this I'm getting emotional. I've wanted this for a long time. And until six months ago other than my girlfriends nagging me to finish the book so they could read it, I haven't had anyone that pushed me to finish. Bob did that for me. When we talked about it he would always say "get after it!, what are you waiting for?" He believed it in me as my partner, friend, lover and confidant. So I am dedicating my independence day to him. For believing in me and always being on my side. Thanks babe! I love you.
