Picked this up at the library because the cover was pretty and I like fantasy based on mythology. Wish I'd liked it more than I did. I didn't connect that deeply with the writing, though. Probably a me thing. I like sinking into the bones of world-bu ...more |

| Read this via audio book. A very satisfying ending to this trilogy of novellas! Once more, Michael F did a great job. Loved the world building here, and while I don't need another book, I do hope these characters are doing well. ...more | |

Warmth ran up Sam's spine. "That's a flaw?"
Michael grinned. "Only to some.”

Oh man, I see the Marie Kondo meme has hit GR.Folks, she didn't say "keep only 30 books". That's what she personally found that she kept. The idea is to, you know, curate your collection and give away/donate/sell what you don't want/need (for your value of want and need).
That's...normal. It's part of decluttering! What the heck is so awful about that? Heck, I have made raffle baskets for charity out of books I've picked up at conventions and later decided I'm never going to read!
She's not a cow. She's not a monster. FFS.

Hi Anna, I’ve read and enjoyed quite a few of your books Just discovered and finished Close Quarter. Liked it a lot. Will there be more because it read like there would, maybe Vasil’s story? Just bought the short prequel today.
Hey there! For the readers out there, I just want to say that it's ABSOLUTELY OKAY to judge whether or not you want to read a book by its blurb and shelve is accordingly on GR.Your GR account is yours.
Also, I've had people love my writing and nope out of books because of content or theme. THAT'S OKAY, TOO! I nope out of books for a variety of reasons myself. I don't get offended. Authors shouldn't.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Readers are allowed to react to a book or blurb however they react to it. It's your right as a reader.
Anyone who tells you differently is full of it.
