Additionally, I am offering ALL of my kindle books for ONLY .99 cents through the month of October. Now that's spooky! http://www.sherryallred.com/

New Books, New Revisions
In April I finished my fifth novel, GRAVE ROBBERS. This novel has pleasantly surprised me. First of all, the story took a completely different turn than I had originally plan. Instead of being a spooky thriller, it became an engaging adventure that involved guardian angels! Imagine that! And get this...everyone who has read it could not put it down....at least everyone that I know who has read it. This is exciting to me because I loved creating the story and I hoped that my readers would enjoy watching the plot unfold as much as I did when I wrote it.
Earlier this year I pulled two of my books off of kindle (ANDRAGATHIA and CLARENCE MOON), gave them a good read through and revision, and published them again, in March and April...this time in paperback as well as kindle. This is exciting for me because now I have five novels in paperback as well as in kindle. And the new revisions are better than ever! I am always cautious to make any new revisions because I don't want to lose the original flavor of the story. I am pleased with the final outcome.
I am now preparing to write my next novel...I am debating which one to begin. My book ideas seem to be competing in my mind like a whirlwind of treasures; and I sit back gazing at them all...wondering which one to write first. Should I write the second CORVETTE? I already have nearly 100 pages written. Or what about the second ANDRAGATHIA? After completing its new revision, the entire outline for the second book unfolded with great zeal. Then there's the second GRAVE ROBBERS...and I can hardly hold back the ideas that are rushing in my mind about that one. And then...I noticed in the swirling of ideas, a novel that I had left simmering on the back burner several years ago, like an old fling that I was quite fond of. I won't even mention the others...nearly 30 of them. I have already written a priority list, yet I always allow inspiration to be the boss since it dictates well. I will keep you posted on what I decide.
Tune in to the next post to learn tips on dealing with writer's block.

Twist in Plot
Okay, I didn't see that one coming. We moved in 2016 which put me on a schedule of cleaning, painting, organizing and selling our home and then moving into another home where I would organize and arrange a whole new world for me and my family. It became a real adventure, and I was required to set new writing goals.
During the process of moving, I decided not to run faster than my mind could fly. Yes the ideas come quickly to me and they are waiting like impatient puppies, anticipating dinner...but I recognize that I am only human (extremely ambitious, nevertheless) and I know that if I take the time to write and develop my ideas well, you will like them a whole lot better.
So, I will continue working my stories, but they will get done, when they get done. I am driven to complete each one...and there are over 30 of them currently, in which I love going from one idea to the next. I can hardly wait to produce them.
My newest novel, published in February 2017, is Grave Robbers. It is about a teenage boy who touches a gravestone at his uncle's funeral and discovers he has power to go back in time to the day the person inhabiting the grave died...and possibly change the past. It deals with guardian angels and battling dark forces of evil. I loved creating this story...the process has stories in itself.

Back in the Game
It has been a while since I have been on Goodreads or even connected with my latest novels. For the last couple years I have been writing, composing, directing, and producing a musical: Nephi & the Sword of Laban (www.sherryallred.com).
Now I am back in the game of novels and I am more ambitious than ever before! I just published a non-fiction novel: The Other Side of a Glock, and I am almost finished with the next book: Clutter and the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
New inspirations are pouring out like crazy and I must do something to keep up with them or I will lose them. I am writing all the time! I write in-between carpools, homeschooling, managing a family, cub scouts, professional organizing, and directing. I write in my mind when I'm driving or waiting...I even write stories in my sleep!
I am committed to bringing the stories I see in my heart and mind alive and on the shelves to you, the readers! I will produce them rather quickly so watch for them! The next novels coming THIS YEAR, in 2016, will include: Corvette 2: More than a Rookie; Maid for Adventure; Heroes, Spit & Bananas; Gravity; Agent Grave Digger; Kingdom of the Kings; Cat Man Do; Nephi & the Sword of Laban (the novel); Wax Man; and Unicorns, Dragons & the Mark of the Beast. They include stories of romance, adventure, suspense, and fantasy.
It seems almost unbelievable that I could write so many novels in one year, but I must...and I am determined. May you enjoy them and be motivated by them!
