I am currently residing in Folsom, CA with my husband of 25 years and one son. I am a retired 15 year veteran of Sacramento Sheriffs Department with my last assignment at the county courthouse as a bailiff.

This story was inspired as I listened to many, many victim impact statements and I began to ask the question; 'what if this happened to my son?'

Shards of an Angel is a fictional story offering my version and hopefully answering that question for others. It also shows everyone grieves in different ways, neither good or bad.

The story offers hope of moving forward keeping the loved one with you as the shards of your heart slowly mends.
