Lynda Styles was born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts, home of the infamous witch trials of 1692. Salem is a place heavy with history and Styles never had to search far for dark influences for her imagination. A lover of words, she began writing very early. Styles received a typewriter at age nine, a gift from her Uncle John, and was published in the local newspapers more than once.

Lynda Styles attended Salem High School and the University of Maine before working as a teacher for several years. Styles published On Gallows Hill in 2012.

Styles now lives on the coast of Maine with her amazing husband, two wonderful children, and a basset hound named Millie.
