I could write puns for a general audience, or I could write puns for the Venn diagram of people who are both beer nerds and neuroanatomy nerds. Guess which path I have chosen.

I didn’t actually know what a myna bird looked like, and despite the fact that I’m not trying to lean into any kind of accuracy with these comics, I was still compelled to look them up. None of these birds look all that much like a myna. I had a vague memory of a puppet myna from a Monty Python skit, which I also looked up, and the puppet myna does not particularly resemble the IRL birb either. So. Good thing this comic isn’t bound by bird taxonomy.

Yes, I do indeed continue to inflict new Taxonomically Unbound comics upon the world! Just in case you had the temerity to forget, these are my single-panel comics featuring the Most Worst Puns I have managed to devise for your amusement and/or suffering.

I sometimes even remember to add them to this, my very own website that I have maintained since the turn of the century. After getting derailed by other projects, in particular my newest zine collecting my earliest trans comic offerings, I have resumed my quest to offer more frivolous pun comics for my erstwhile series Taxonomically Unbound.

But first, may I point you to this Patreon blog post about my 25th Tranniversary. I thought it would be worthwhile to share a piece I wrote about navigating the experience of trying to access trans health care 25 years ago, and my impressions of the dangers we navigate today based on my experiences in existing as trans for the last quarter century.

Anyhow, on to the new Taxonomically Unbound comics!

I actually made these a couple of months back and had posted them to my Patreon, but I’ve finally gotten around to adding them here on the ol’ website like it’s the early aughts. I’ve also got some new ones in the works, so there is more yet to come!
