I Am Not My Story
They took a lot…
but not everything.
I’m not the tears
that once flowed freely
nor the story
that blinded me.
I’m not the wounds
or the fight
nor the battles
fought in the night.
I’m not the lies
I once believed
nor the whispers
that had me deceived.
There’s a spark
darkness didn’t steal
an inner light
grief couldn’t conceal.
I am the stillness
beyond the sound
the quiet space
where truth is found.
I am the witness
to the storm
the place within
where healing is born.
I’m not my story
I am the soul
reclaimed, reborn,
and in control.
but not everything.
I’m not the tears
that once flowed freely
nor the story
that blinded me.
I’m not the wounds
or the fight
nor the battles
fought in the night.
I’m not the lies
I once believed
nor the whispers
that had me deceived.
There’s a spark
darkness didn’t steal
an inner light
grief couldn’t conceal.
I am the stillness

the quiet space

I am the witness
to the storm

where healing is born.
I’m not my story
I am the soul
reclaimed, reborn,
and in control.

Finding Home Within
I didn’t have a sense of home
until I found a sense of self.
Sometimes we look to people,
places, and things
for comfort, connection, and reassurance—
only to realize
what we are searching for
can only be found within.
until I found a sense of self.
Sometimes we look to people,
places, and things
for comfort, connection, and reassurance—
only to realize
what we are searching for
can only be found within.

Not Like Before
There are things we carry
because we had to.
Ways of thinking.
Ways of reacting.
Ways of holding ourselves together.
And for a long time,
they feel like who we are—
even after we’ve begun
to see otherwise.
Until something in you
starts to loosen—
not because you forced it,
but because you don’t need it
in the same way anymore.
because we had to.
Ways of thinking.
Ways of reacting.
Ways of holding ourselves together.
And for a long time,
they feel like who we are—
even after we’ve begun
to see otherwise.
Until something in you
starts to loosen—
not because you forced it,
but because you don’t need it
in the same way anymore.

A quiet shift
There are moments
when something begins to shift—
not because anything outside has changed,
but because something within
is finally seen clearly.
And once it is seen,
it cannot be unseen.
