I was born in Munchen Bavaria and was lucky to come to Australia as a teenager. I am fluent in German and English, which has allowed me to be a contributing author to a legal text published in Germany (in german), writing a chapter summarising Australian Family Law. I have had other works published including short stories and non fiction magazine articles. Just and Equitable is my debut novel. I live on the magnificent Mornington Peninsula with my fantastic husband and son. Amongst work, which includes writing and lawyering, I try and indulge in my passion for horses. A standard poodle also lives with us.

Of course she can survive without him

… or can she?

Sarah injected authority into her voice as she told the Judge why her case was superior, and she should win.

But it would be to no avail. Of all the barristers to oppose her, only Markus could leave her with every ounce of Read more of this blog post »

“This place,' Annabel waved her left arm in a circle. 'It is a place filled with misery, hatred, jealousy...and then there are the lawyers.”
Tanya Thistleton, JUST and EQUITABLE

“How dare that arrogant prick come in here and ruin her perfectly good day? And not to mention the miserable judge, who should have called in sick this morning if he thought the world was such an awful place.”
Tanya Thistleton

“Fozzy was slowly realising his mistake of not having taken his friends words of warning more serious all those years ago. 'She's an expensive filly, with double standards,' he had said. Fozzy had not listened.”

“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.”
Norman Vincent Peale

“I held on to stuff I didn't need or use because I wanted to hold on to that part of my identity, or my perceived identity. I am writer, a knitter, a doodler, a skier, a hiker, and more. Cool belongings, like fancy skis, seem to represent my personality. But in truth, I hardly ski anymore, so why keep skis? If I accumulate stuff just to prove who I am, or was, it prevents me from doing meaningful things with my life right now, like focusing on health, happiness, and my relationships.”
