Days after pub date

One bookstore agent, when I was trying to set up a reading date for my new novel, Some Assembly Required, told me that he considers the competition for the readings to be Netflix. So I had better be able to contact and bring to the reading my own audience (whom I presume would otherwise be watching Netflix).
