Going dark for a while.
In recent years I have noticed a huge upsurge of people with anger management problems voicing off in inappropriate places. These people have a huge sense of entitlement they haven't earned. They belong in the Trump camp of who shouts loudest and longest has to right. I think I need to give social media a rest so that I will be one less in the audience to give these menaces to society validity.

Extra! Extra! Read All About It
New Kickstarter I'm involved in. And an autographed copy of Frozen in Amber is in one of the premium levels. AND I've finished a rough draft of my story. It's in the same world as Amber This time I'm dealing with a WerRat. More about that idea later.

Dependence
We all know that without water we cannot live.
Break in the water main line on the primary road through town? Traffic snarled on our 2 lane country hiway. Angry citizens ready to burn the owner of the water company in effigy.
And... and... no water in the house for SIX hours. No drinking water, no washing water, no toilet water.
We left and ran errands and kept appointments and stopped at the park with real restrooms on the way. Came back 20 minutes after restoration. Life is back to normal.

T and I went to the coast last Thurs & Friday to escape the heat. We had a live choir serenade us during dinner, right outside the restaurant in Newport, Oregon. And I found some beach thistles at Boiler Bay

The most beautiful smell in the world
parched earth now damp and soaking up every drop of blessed rain, and refreshed greenery. The lilac bush is positively perky. The cedar trees are waving their fronds in glee like a fan dancer earning a huge tip. Acres of dust washing down the middle of the street.
Why yes we had rain. First a soft drizzle all day on Saturday preparing everything for Sunday's heavier offering.
Not a season breaker, but a lovely reprieve.
I'm not talking about the temps coming in the middle of the week and possibly running for 10 days. Not going there. Probably hibernating.

The Great Computer Crash of 2015
This is my first day adventuring beyond Word and email since the great computer crash of 2015. The laptop is restored, the trojans and minions defeated. I've been reluctant to explore much but it appears it is safe to come out of my cave for a while.
Do not want another 4 days of withdrawal from the computer addiction. Do not want to risk loss of data again.

Outdoor Adventures
Mr. Chessie had an adventure. We have coyotes in the neighborhood and they think kitty makes an awesome lunch. So Mr. Chessie has been raised in doors. And he has always wanted OUT, because he's an explorer and out is forbidden. Yada Yada Yada. This last week T has spent a lot of time on the back deck reading. He got tired of Mr. Chessie yelling at him. so he let the kitty out. Restricted to the deck itself. Sniff and learn. Stay close and safe. Yesterday after about ten minutes of this, something freaked our poor kitty. He was climbing the screen to get back in the house and hasn't asked to go out again since. Did he get a whiff of coyote? Or maybe a cougar? Don't know. But he is quiet, indoors, and safe.
