There are so many great authors out there writing thrillers and horror-…moreI love this question, Crumb, because I get to talk about other people's books. There are so many great authors out there writing thrillers and horror--you can't go wrong with anything by Greg Iles, Nelson DeMille, Lee Child, Michael Connelly, Harlan Coben, etc.--but I do have a few very favorites.

The first thriller that comes to mind is BLACK CROSS, by Greg Iles. It's exciting while, at the same time, it's very moving. Wonderfully written book and my favorite thriller of all time. Next, I highly recommend Ken Follett's THE EYE OF THE NEEDLE. It's everything a taut thriller should be.

As for horror, Stephen King is the master and my favorites are SALEM'S LOT and PET SEMATARY. Genuinely creepy, terrific books.
