In many indigenous cultures, silence was considered a sign of respect and inner wisdom, and solitude was much sought after for its ability to renew the soul and regenerate lost or damaged portions of the self. In our modern world, there is very rarely any true personal silence, and solitude is sought after less and less, leading to a sort of soul sickness and psychological neuroses of all kinds. Seek out the company of Silence today, and meet this helpful phantom in a place of solitude and isolation. Renew yourself at the core before moving on along you path.

Are you wearing masks? Do you pretend to be what you are not in the hopes no one will notice or that you might actually become it? Are you frightened of an aspect or area of your life and hide behind a mask to feel better accepted or acclimated? Masks can be terrific coping tools in certain situations and for short periods of time, but constantly living behind one mask and then another is detrimental to the psyche and soul that have a unique, individual, and important imprint of their very own. Let your facade down and be loved for who you really are... the world needs you!

Do not forget the joy that is inherent in all life and in all paths. Do not forget to seek that joy within your path and within own yourself. And when all joy seems to elude you, create it anew!

Life is mostly what you make it... so what are your own current contributions to your path shaping it into?...

What is unregarded or discarded holds a secret... it may even hold many secrets. It holds potentials for creativity and creation. It holds the passage way to the new and the abundant. Look closely, for everywhere you peer there is something to see.

We may often watch the world and those in it, and we may even be watching our own life go by... with each tick of the second hand on a clock... tick, tick, tick. But, today I challenge you to watch with your inner self, with the hyper-aware core of you that is connected to all the other threads of the cosmos. Watch your own self and reflect. Are you happy? Are you productive? Are you having a consistent and positive influence? Are you accomplishing those things which are important to you?... Or are you just marking time, thinking there will always be more of it?... It is prudent to remember that for all of us, eventually, our time in this incarnation runs out. And as the old saying goes, "Time flies."

This morning is the STL Public Library Author Breakfast. I am way excited to get to go to this, but I am also nervous as hell. It's like speed dating for authors and readers. However, above it all, I would just like to express a sincere THANK YOU to the STL Public Library for always being so good to me as a local author!!!!
