I live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, and have strong family roots in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia.

Learning about and sharing Appalachian culture has been a lifelong interest of mine.

I am an independent writer of historical fiction novellas. In addition, I work as an archivist, librarian and curator.

Reading favorites are memoirs, regional folklore, ghost stories, nonfiction, fantasy, Appalachian fiction, and immersive novels.

I am not on Amazon but prefer to work with independent small businesses and non-profits.
