SURPRISE! Home is the Sailor is NOW IN PRINT a week early!
So I've got chats scheduled for next week... Barnes & Noble said 'available August 20,' and the book shows up early at both B&N and Amazon.
Am I complaining?
NO WAY!
http://www.amazon.com/dp/0982826702
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/book...
Home is the Sailor is Book 4 of the Royal Navy series featuring Commander William Marshall and Lieutenant David Archer of His Majesty's Navy.
Home is set immediately following Book 3, Eye of the Storm. After an unprovoked attack during peacetime—was it revenge for their abduction of one of Bonaparte’s top military scientists?—Commander William Marshall and his lover, David Archer, are sent into hiding at David’s ancestral home in Devon.
But this is no peaceful shore leave. With the best intentions in the world, Will has discovered that his fear of losing Davy is still stronger than his desire to keep Davy beside him on the quarterdeck. And Lieutenant Archer is having problems of his own--the family that seemed so rock-solid, if distant, is staggering under the loss of its eldest son and heir. Was it an accident… or murder? And if so, how will he ever prove it to an autocratic father who still sees him as the inept youngest son? Out of their element, Davy and Will are thrust into the role of sleuths while trying to determine what sort of future, if any, they may have together.
The book doesn't show up yet in Amazon searches, author or otherwise--you have to use the link. But it's there! The e-book is due out on the 15th from Bristlecone Pine Press (http://bcpinepress.com/bcpp_home.php)
You can find an excerpt here on my website:

Save your back--let Odwalla plant a tree for you!
Today Odwalla, the juice manufacturer, kicked off an event to plant trees in state parks in the US.
A friend of mine in Michigan told me about this -- another mutual friend is a park ranger who reports that Michigan lost a lot of trees this past year due to severe winter weather, and in the current economy, the state budget doesn't have the $ to replace them.
If you vote here, Odwalla will plant a tree for you in the beautiful state that produced my wife.

If you'd rather see one planted elsewhere... that's great too. Planting trees anywhere is a good idea!

Action! Adventure! Romance!
A poor blog perhaps, but all mine own. Except when I quote someone whose work bears repeating, in which case I"ll say so.
