What I do believe is there are many problems that can keep one from writing, and there are solutions to all those problems. The key is identifying those problems. I actually wrote quite a bit about that, so I will let you read for yourself: http://carolinefrechette.com/2013/01/... (less)

Broken Things (a short story)

Hello to all humans, creatures and robotic entities!

I’ve got a little something for you! As you probably know if you follow this blog, I’ve struggled a whole lot with my health and that has meant I don’t update and produce a lot. BUT! Renaissance is running a Kickstarter campaign to finance the release of its first anthology, called We Shall Be Monsters, an EXCELLENT collection of short stories c

“Who cares if they're not normal? Neither am I.”
Caroline Frechette, Blood Relations

“One writes not to be read but to breathe...one writes to think, to pray, to analyze. One writes to clear one's mind, to dissipate one's fears, to face one's doubts, to look at one's mistakes--in order to retrieve them. One writes to capture and crystallize one's joy, but also to disperse one's gloom. Like prayer--you go to it in sorrow more than joy, for help, a road back to 'grace'."
— Anne Morrow Lindbergh (War Within and Without: Diaries and Letters of Anne Morrow Lindbergh 1939-1944)”
Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Wartime Writings 1939-1944: Personal Letters and Meditations of a WWII Aviator

“Who cares if they're not normal? Neither am I.”
Caroline Frechette, Blood Relations

“The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Writing what you wished was the most dangerous form of wishful thinking.”
Amy Tan, The Bonesetter's Daughter

“If you haven't failed, you're not trying hard enough.”
Jennifer Crusie, Trust Me on This
