I’m a children’s book author who loves big imaginations, silly moments, and stories that don’t always go exactly as planned. I write playful picture books designed to make kids giggle and parents smile — often at the same time.
My characters dream big, make cheerful messes, and learn important things in not-so-serious ways. I believe stories should feel fun, warm, and a little unexpected, with room for curiosity, confidence, and laughter along the way.

After losing her mother at a young age, finishing her master’s degree, and watching her relationship fall apart, Manon decides to leave everything behind and travel across four continents in search of clarity and purpose. What follows is not a glamorous “eat, pray, love” type journey, but something far more honest and human.
What I appreciated most was how connected the emotional journey was to the physical one. The travel experiences never feel random or added for excitement. Whether she’s crossing America on Greyhound buses, riding the Trans-Siberian Railway through Russia and Mongolia in freezing weather, traveling through Thailand and Australia, or navigating remote parts of Kyrgyzstan along the Pamir Highway near the Afghanistan border, every destination reflects where she is mentally and emotionally at that moment in her life.
The book captures both the beauty and discomfort of solo travel. There are spontaneous friendships in hostels, fleeting romances, moments of freedom and excitement, but also loneliness, uncertainty, and emotional exhaustion. Some of the strongest parts of the memoir are the quieter reflections about her mother and the realization that no amount of distance can completely silence grief.
The writing feels genuine rather than overly polished, which made the story more believable. You can tell the experiences were lived, not exaggerated to sound dramatic. I also liked that the author doesn’t pretend travel magically fixes everything. The emotional struggles follow her from country to country, which gives the memoir real depth.
If you enjoy memoirs that combine travel with personal transformation and emotional honesty, this is definitely worth reading. It’s reflective, raw at times, and ultimately hopeful without feeling forced. ...more "
