Some people know how to charm or talk their way out of those first impressions. Or… some people just give the benefit of the doubt. And… when the love comes… that overcomes a lot of the second-guessing or makes you overlook things. But… romantic love is different than familial love. Loving someone as family, with no romantic strings… that’s something that holds better judgment. Especially the family you pick. ‘Cause those are the people you’re going to want the best for. When you pick someone, that’s by choice. Not blood or feeling like you owe them your affection or care, but to choose people and still bond with them. That’s the stuff you don’t second-guess.”
