Helena Rein is a Canadian author originally from Ukraine who writes dark fantasy centered on power, conquest, human psychology, and the collapse of empires. Her work explores the moral complexity of survival, political systems, trauma, and the fine line between love and control.

Deeply inspired by ancient history, philosophy, mythology, and ethical questions surrounding power and human nature, she is particularly drawn to stories about people shaped—and often destroyed—by the worlds they inhabit.

Alongside writing, Helena has studied mental health and community support, interests that continue to influence the psychological and emotional themes present throughout her work.
