I find a technique that works is one which I believe Graham Greene used. And that's to finish each day's writing session in mid-sentence (or even mid-word if you're inclined). That way it's relatively easy to get started the next day. And once you've started the chances are you'll carry on. Generally, I'd say it's a good idea to stop when you've still got stuff in mind you want to say.(less)
