I'm Back On Goodreads
Hello Everyone,
I hope you're enjoying your latest read. It’s been a while since I’ve been on Goodreads. It's been a little busy around the office.
After publishing my book, SketchCop-Drawing A Line Against Crime, I became immersed in criminal cases from around the world. At the same time I was promoting and selling our new software app-SketchCop Facial Composite System.
I was excited about the book being published. The feedback and encouragement I received was tremendous.
But I quickly learned that books don’t sell themselves. With competition from other books inside and outside your publisher, you can sometimes get distracted or lost in the shuffle.
Recently, I decided to take a chance and bet on myself. With the support of WildBlue Press I have decided to republish SketchCop.
Some might question that decision. But, I wanted more creative control over the design and content of the book so I could succeed or fail on my own.
I am currently working with a designer on new cover art - front and back. The content will be updated with additional material where appropriate along with a bonus chapter.
This will be my third and final edition of this book. They say that the third time is a charm, so we’ll see.
I’m also republishing Creating Digital Faces for Law Enforcement with the support of my former publisher Elsevier.
One thing I learned about technical books is how quickly they become outdated. I will be renaming the book, with new cover art and updating the content, including a new chapter about our software app to give it a fresh, updated look, and feel.
Lastly, I have completed a draft manuscript for a new non-fiction true crime. It's been been done for quite some time. All it needs is an editor's review and a bit more character buildup.
It’s about the kidnapping and murder of a former police officer by a two-bit hoodlum who wanted more.
Once completed, I will begin working on a series of short crime stories straight from my sketchpad.
Although I love working with victims to help them identify suspects who have changed their lives forever; I nearly forgot how much I enjoyed researching these cases and writing about them.
I’m excited about getting back in the writing game and I hope you will support the new book when it’s released.
So until then, I invite you to see my updated Goodreads profile and visit my new website at: www.SketchCop.com.
In the meantime, stay safe, be well and standby for updates.
Best Regards,
Michael
