“In all your years, Anadyr, have you ever encounted the Dark Mage?” asked Aynara.
“I have not, my Lady, but I would hope for my entire existence not to happen on his ugliness.”
Aynara turned to Anadyr. “I have, just once before. When he appears, he is anything but ugly, my Lord. In fact, one might consider him the most beautiful entity you have ever seen. Strange that it is often the case for many a foe we encounter. Evil often comes with a smile.”
(from Stormling, 2014)”

Looking forward to checking out your vampire novellas. I just added "The Blood and the Raven," and I hope to check it out this weekend. Even though my first two works have been about superheroes, vampire novels are what I read more than anything.I'm in the beta stage of my own vampire novella titled, "The Blood in Their Veins." So I am sure your novella will be an excellent read for me!

Though as you say...all the ones you mention are ones to read. I hope Lisa Kleypas Stays on HR's...I loved 'Mine Till Midnight.' I just have to read others in the series.
I always love to meet fellow HR lovers :) I see you're enjoying Georgette Heyer's Regencies right now, and my favourites include The Grand Sophy (for the least helpless, most self-sufficient and self-assured heroine I've ever read), The Corinthian (for a heroine who isn't fazed by anything and is always up for an adventure), Frederica (for an admitted loner hero who finds himself completely falling for the sweetest, craziest bunch of siblings), Arabella (for a hero who confidently rules the ton and yet finds himself repeatedly stuck with all the "strays" the heroine saves without quite knowing how it happens), Faro's Daughter and Friday's Child (because they were my first Heyers) and Devil's Cub (for a Rake-with-a-capital-R hero who's completely blown away by the ultimate good girl).Definitely a big fan of Kleypas and Milan, and I'm ecstatic that Kleypas is writing historicals again!
