B. James Wilson says of his writing, "I choose the literary art form because the stories in my head demand that level of detail. I want to write about life, death, God, intellect, the supernatural. I want to write about our hopes and dreams, and our shining moments. I want my work to be, first of all, entertaining, and then informative.”
He is the author of a variety of speculative fiction with a focus on history and the Bible. He lives and works on Florida's Space Coast.

Among them was a place called Caesar's Creek. The name was taken from a legend about an escaped slave who became a pirate known as Henry (Black) Caesar. His life was legendary and worthy of a novel. In fact, I've already written it. In draft form, it's entitled, "Triangle: A Memoir of Black Caesar". I hope to finish up the revisions and release it soon.(less)

Independence Square – A Review

“Independence Square,” Matin Cruz-Smith’s tenth in the Arkady Renko Russian crime series, is no less a masterful work than the first in the series, “Gorky Park.” It continues to baffle me, following the success of “Gorky Park,” in both print and film, that more of Cruz-Smiths work has not been adapted for T.V. or a sequence of films, in the way of Hieronymus Bosch, or James Bond. Of course, Ar

Mark Batterson
“I have a handful of prayers that I pray all the time... One is that God will put my books into the right hands at the right times. I've prayed this prayer thousands of times, and God has answered it in dramatic fashion countless times. The right book in the right hands at the right time can save a marriage, avert a mistake, demand a decision, plant a seed, conceive a dream, solve a problem, and prompt a prayer. That is why I write. And that's why, for me, a book sold is not a book sold; a book sold is a prayer answered. I don't know the name and situation of every reader, but God does, and that's all that matters.”
Mark Batterson, Draw the Circle: The 40 Day Prayer Challenge

“There is no getting into God without suffering. In school, there is no education without studying. Without discipline, there is no getting into God. Obedience—we never know real obedience unless we know these three: suffering, discipline, obedience. They, as the media by which we enter into God, are interrelated. In our hearts, we feel perfectly sure He is right in permitting the suffering, though we cannot answer the “why” every time. “When I came into the house of the Lord, I understood.” We will have a spiritual consciousness of reality and Truth; it does not come by natural reasoning. Where revelation ceases, speculation begins. I can give as my personal testimony that these deeper revelations of Truth, and clear understanding of the things of God, have come only through suffering.”
John Wright Follette, John Wright Follette's Golden Grain

C.S. Lewis
“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.”
C.S. Lewis

C.S. Lewis
“A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.”
C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain

Tosca Lee
“It was raining the night he found me. Traffic had slowed on Massachusetts Avenue and the wan light of streetlamps reflected off the pavement. I hurried without an umbrella, distracted by the chirp of a text message, trying to shield the illuminated face of my phone from rain and the drizzle off storefront awnings. There had been a mistake in my schedule, an appointment I didn’t recognize and had stayed late at the office for just in case they showed. Our office manager was texting from home now to say she had no idea who it was with, that it must have belonged on Phil’s calendar, that she was sorry for the mistake and to have a good night.”
Tosca Lee, Demon: A Memoir
