Sigh...LOL
It dawns on me, amazes me, and makes me humble that God loves us like he does. I mean let's face it, most of the time we run around acting like a giant dufus, and he loves and forgives us anyway. Even in our time of unbelief (we have all been there), he still says "Your Mine. I love You." We act like we have control of things and we don't. I think He just shakes His head a bit (wouldn't surprise me if he gives a small exasperated chuckle... "Child, why are you fighting Me? I have this, I told you to rest in Me, I would take care of it."
Once you get THAT through your head, the rest comes much easier. God's got a plan. God has control. You might not know his reasons for why things happen the way they do, but HE does. Trust in that. Life is a lot easier pressing into God that it is pushing away from Him. <3

Excerpt from my book....
“Providence” is God providing for you the things and people in your life that you need in any given season. You might not know it at the time, and often times, it is after some event that you realize He had protected and provided for you all along. Th is scripture from Exodus
most vividly gives me a picture of not just God’s providence, but God’s
protection as well [emphasis mine].
Exodus 33:18-23 NIV:
“18 Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!” 19 And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and I will be gracious
to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.” [Providence] 20 But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!” 21 Th en the LORD
said, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock ; 22 and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by [protection]. 23 “Th en I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.”
I first heard this scripture referenced in bible study by my friend Lena. It makes me weepy when I read it now. Th rough this verse, I see the time leading up to and the day of Jonce’s death. For a year and a half preceding his death, it was as if God had put me in a place to
provide some protection of what was to come. He placed me in the “cleft of the rock” known as my circle of friends. Once the storm of Jonce’s death was upon me, He covered me with his hand to protect
me. I still hurt, mourned, and grieved (and still do) the loss of my husband, but His hand was over me the entire time (verse 22).
He protected me from tools the enemy may have used against me. He
protected me from an onslaught of depression, anxiety, ill will towards
the driver of the truck, and hateful spirit of heart (verse 22). After the
storm had settled, I realized he was in front of me, walking forward,His back to me, his hand extended behind him beckoning me to grab a hold of Him (verse 23).

Obedience
Life can be trying at times, but life isn't stressful, it is joyful! Toils of everyday life and responsibility can weigh a girl down, but I find that I do things (at a minimum to try and do things) ---ALL things--- with a glad heart, stress seems to dissipate and there can be joy in every little thing.
Even though there has been loss in the lives of friends lately, I try and concentrate on fact that God loves us and doesn't forsake us. He has a plan greater than I can fathom, and I find that to be a great comfort. Especially when things happen in life and we are left questioning "WHY???," great things can manifest themselves.
God has a great plan afoot in the Heavenlies...we don't know why, and it's not our place to know why. HE will reveal that to us when the time is right. Having faith in that, resting in His love and knowing I don't have to take care of everything is a relief. It's not my job to take care of everything, that is His job. The best I can do is to listen what He tells me, and to do my very best to be obedient and serve with a glad heart... God will take care of all the other things.
I rambled on to make this point....Worry, stress, fear, anxiety, and doubt are not of God. Don't let these things control your actions, attitudes and state of mind. Most especially, don't allow those things to distract you from being obedient and serving others.

Friendship
Friendship is one of those things that we often times take for granted. We don't mean to do so, but life happens, and you forget to be grateful for the people in your life that make an impact on you. I have strange friends, crazy friends, meek friends, loud friends, healthy friends, sick friends (I mean ill, not sick in the head...lol), some that I have lost touch with, some I see every day, & some I see whenever life affords and opportunity. Each is unique, each is amazing in their own right, and each blesses me in ways that can't be put into human description. God has been so gracious to allow me to reconnect with friends I thought I had lost, and to have friends that build me up, support me, and allow me to be who I am without any reservation. In turn, those friends also allow me to do the same for them.
Proverbs 27:9 says
"Oil and perfume make the heart glad, and the sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel."
I am grateful for every minute of every instance I have with my friends. Some friends have left me through the years through time, distance, & death, but I would not be the person that I am today if I had not been touched by each friend that has entered my life.
Take time to tell your friends you love them, remind them how they impact your life, make sure that you make them feel appreciated and loved. One day they may not be there for you to tell them. I pray that all my friends are aware of how much they mean to me, the love & respect I have for them, & and immense impact they have each brought to my life.

It's More Important Than Money....
Book sales are coming along, but more importantly, the feedback I am getting is just amazing. People have been telling me the book is helpful, or it moved them, or it prompted conversations about God and their faith. Just gives me the warm fuzzies :)
When you pay attention to being obedient to God, it is amazing what He will do for you, and for the people in your life. God gave each of us special talents, and we need to use them, but we need to use them to glorify Him! The more that I continue this journey and relationship with God, I think the most important thing is that I try, in EVERYTHING I do, is to listen to Him, and do the best to my ability. I am not perfect and will never be, but God loves me. What more can a girl want? :)
