My Favorite Tooth Whitening Product!
Hey ya’ll!
Now, you know when I find a product I absolutely love, I have to share it with ya’ll. I remember when I bought a Groupon to get my teeth whitened right before my wedding. I sat down in the chair at the dental office and this machine on me. From there, I experienced the WORST shooting pains in my mouth. I’m like wait, WHY is my mouth on FIRE?? I had to tell the woman to stop. From that point on, I refused to get my teeth whitened. Then, from that point, I refused to go anywhere and get my teeth whitened.
So, then I tried store bought whitening strips until I looked at the back of the ingredients.
TOXIC.
So, I went years where I didn’t get my teeth whitened until I came across Lumineux Oral Essentials. They have an entire line of teeth whitening product. From teeth whitening mouth wash to toothpaste, a tooth whitening pen and strips, they literally have everything you need to be covered. My favorites are the teeth whitening strips and pen. Every couple of months, I use the strips for 7 days in a row, 30 minutes a day and I always see a huge difference in my teeth. I use the tooth whitening pen 30 minutes before I eat by quickly brushing my teeth. It helps my teeth from being stained from my food.
My favorite part? The clean ingredients that are in the tooth whitening kits AND the fact that my teeth are not sensitive from using this product. The products are made with things like lemon peel, orange peel and coconut oil.
I want to encourage you to grab your goodies over at Lumineux now and let me know what you think of it.
God loves you like crazy,
Heather Lindsey

Our Trip to: Jamaica, Jamaica!
Who doesn’t need a break during a whole pandemic to go to Jamaica??!
SIGN ME UP!!
So, a few months ago, we were itching for a trip. We are used to traveling almost every single week. So, for us, not traveling for 2-3 months is a really big deal!
So, we did some research and we landed on the South Coast, Jamaica Sandals resorts!
TALK ABOUT AN AMAZING TRIP!
First, let’s talk about the “before the trip”
BEFORE JAMAICA
In order to get into Jamaica, you must have a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test. This isn’t one of the quick, rapid tests. It must be sent to a lab and it takes 2-5 days for your test results. Now, this test is free with your insurance but if you don’t have insurance, it’s $250. And, you must take this test ten days prior to your travel to Jamaica.
You also have to fill out a travel authorization form prior to your flight as well.
After 4 days of waiting, we got our COVID tests!
TRAVEL DAY! We went to the airport that morning to check in. We had to have our negative covid tests to even check our bags.
But, the best thing about our first class flights?! They were FREE. Check out my blog about traveling the world for almost free HERE if you haven’t checked it out.
We checked in, dropped our bags and we headed to our gate. We always stop at Gate B in the Atlanta Airport for the best food!
We boarded and the flight was amazing. After a 2 1/2 hour from Atlanta to Montego Bay, we made it!
What I love the most about it all? Being able to travel with my husband! He always carries my bags and makes the trip so easy for me! (Not so easy for him! :))
When we landed, we went through customs which seemed to be pretty quick. As soon as we walked out of the customs, we saw a Sandals “lounge.” It was nice! You get “checked in” and you get to sit in this lounge room until your car is ready to take you to the hotel. There’s also light snacks, a bathroom and Wifi.
Our name was called and we headed to the resort in a super nice BMW. The ride to the resort was an hour and half and it’s not far from Negril, Jamaica. The ride was scenic and it was nice to see more of Jamaica.
When we arrived, we were taken to the VIP lounge to get checked into our room.
We stayed in the all-new South Seas Rondoval Village Suites. These signature suites feature soaring conical ceilings, lavish spa-style bathrooms and a private patio with a private pool and a shared pool that’s only available to those staying in those suites. I rarely saw anyone else when I was in the shared pool!
It’s safe to say that these BRAND new rooms were EVERYTHING! They were just built in December 2020 and the rooms felt so modern, up to date and beautiful!
One of my favorite parts?
Our own private place to lay out with the pool that was only accessible to those staying in the village.
It was also nice to be able to work with my feet in our personal pool! Hey, if I have to work while on vacation, I wouldn’t mind doing it with my feet in the pool in 80 degree weather. Speaking of weather, a few days before we left, I checked the weather and it was supposed to rain almost everyday .The good news? When we got there, it barely rained. We had beautiful, sunny days every single day. It did rain here and there but it didn’t last long!
Onto the food.
Food is a BIG DEAL FOR ME. As you guys know, I am plant based. Which means that it’s not always easy for me to find food. Thankfully, our suite came with a butler! Upon arrival, they give you a phone. It allows for you to text or call your butler at any point.
After we told them about our dietary restrictions and the type of food we like, the chef called us multiple times throughout our trip to make sure we were happy. At one point, she called me and said, “YOU HAVE A KITCHEN HERE.” Whatever you want, we will make it. One day, I asked for a dairy free wrap and they didn’t have certain ingredients, so they went to the STORE to buy the wraps so it would be perfect.
I mean, come on. I was shocked and how they were willing to go above and beyond. I also loved that the chef would send me what I ordered PLUS items that were famous in Jamaica, like this Ackee. (part of Jamica’s national dish!) I had never had it before but it’s a beautiful delicious fruit that she sautéed and seasoned on bread.
At the resort, there’s multiple restaurants for you to choose from. Because the resort is all inclusive, some nights, we would go to one restaurant and then we would go to another one, just because!
Our favorite restaurant was Schooners seaside grill! My husband also loved the Jerk Shack. I loved the Cafe De Paris! It had the best crepes and sweets! This is us at dinner one night! I am obsessed with all of the greenery! It’s the perfect background!
Every morning, we ordered room serve and ate it outside. It was so delicious! Now, we are back to reality, but it was so nice to be spoiled for a week.
Let’s talk about the water sports!

My husband HATES the water and getting him to step foot in the ocean was impossible when I first met him. I am proud to say that he went paddle boarding with me! It was SO fun! I really hope that he attempts the adventure again. I must say, he didn’t fall I which was a perk!
Another cool thing about the resort is that all of the water sports were FREE.
That’s right. They were included. Kayaking, tubing, sailing and snorkeling! But, baby steps, we made into the ocean so that was definitely a win!
Maybe next time, I can get him to go snorkeling with me!
We had plans to explore more of Jamaica, but then work called. One of our projects needed our attention so we sat on our patio and worked the entire day. But, looking back, it was so nice to have everything we needed right there at the resort. We did walk around the resort multiple times, ate at every restaurant, went to the shops to do some shopping, watched TV and actually relaxed.
Sometimes, you just need those trips where you’re not running all over the world, instead, you’re relaxing and enjoying yourself.
I hope you enjoyed this review of the Sandals South Coast, Jamaica resort! If you need a relaxing, quiet trip, then this is the one for you!
God loves you like crazy,
Love always,
Heather Lindsey

God is so big. He’s bigger than your situation!
Every once in a while the Lord will lead me to share my 365 with Heather devotional with everyone. If you’ve put God inside of a box and minimized who He is and what He can do for you, you’ll want to continue reading.
Here’s what the Lord is saying today.
—
Whenever I think about how big God is, it brings me to tears.
I mean, He created this ENTIRE UNIVERSE.
Then, He created all of us and assigned us with a purpose on this earth.
There’s a reason that you were born in this generation and not the 1800’s.
Isaiah 40:12 always blows my mind:
“Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale?”
I mean, can we take a moment to chew on this?
WHO HAS HELD THE OCEANS IN HIS HAND?
WHAT A HUGE GOD!
It continues in verse 13: “Who is able to advise the Spirit of the LORD? Who knows enough to give him advice or teach him?”
I want to encourage you to read that entire chapter today. It always puts things in perspective for me about the greatness of God.
So, knowing all of this, why do we have so little faith sometimes?
God can handle your situation.
He can handle you.
He can handle your future.
He is with you.
He is for you.
He is not against you.
For YEARS, I struggled with abandonment. I was adopted at the age of 6 months and that spirit sticks to you as a child. My family is amazing and they loved me so well, but deep down, I was dealing with that spirit.
Then I got saved and gave my life to Jesus. I just figured the abandonment would “go away.”
I had the opportunity to walk in that freedom but I didn’t quite take it.
I was sitting in a dark room figuratively, and I didn’t turn the light switch on.
Meaning, God wanted to set me free from abandonment but I also had to do my part in it all. I had hands laid on me to be free from it .. but I needed to do my part to renew my MIND. I still had that orphan spirit.
So, I jumped into the Bible.
I realized:
I am adopted.
I am chosen.
I am not abandoned.
God will take care of me.
I seek first the kingdom of God.
His grace is sufficient for me.
I don’t have to be perfect.
He is working out everything for my good.
The list goes on and on!
The words were always there in the Bible.
I just needed to actually take those words and put those words in my heart.
I meditated on scriptures.
When those thoughts came in, I fought BACK with scriptures.
I guarded my heart.
I reminded myself that I’m a co-heir of Christ Jesus.
Now, 17 years later after getting saved, I can honestly say to you, that my God is so good. He’s so big and so mighty there’s nothing He can’t do.
So, surrender your today into His hands. He’s with you.
P.S.
I’ve been working on Phase 2 of 365 and it’s GOING TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
From weekly bible study videos, daily confessions, audio confessions to help with your walk and to listen to throughout the day, scriptures to study, inviting my friends to help me record some sessions, you are going to LOVE it!

God, it feels like I’m in a waiting room.
Every once in a while the Lord will lead me to share my 365 with Heather devotional with everyone. If you’ve been feeling overly anxious lately or as if God has forgotten about you, you’ll want to continue reading.
Here’s what the Lord is saying today.
—-
There’s a beauty in sitting still.
Sitting isn’t fun, right?
Waiting isn’t fun, right?
Especially when you know that God gave you so many promises but it seems like .. things just aren’t happening.
Have you ever felt that way?
Have you ever felt like, GOD?! WHY AM I IN THIS WAITING ROOM?
WHEN WILL MY NAME GET CALLED?
WHEN WILL I GET MY BREAKTHROUGH?
WHEN WILL I FIND OUT WHAT IS NEXT IN MY LIFE?
WHEN WILL I GET MARRIED?
WHEN WILL I GET PREGNANT?
WHEN WILL MY MARRIAGE IMPROVE?!
Life just seems like this revolving .. waiting room.
Has it ever felt that way for you?
I can completely relate with you.
When I was single, I’m like — where is my man? I’m ready to get married.
When I got married, I’m like what’s up with our purpose? God, I’m going to need you to open some doors.
When I got married, I wondered, where are these kids at?
When I got in my purpose, I’m like what is next, God? What’s the VISION? Make it plain! I want to move forward!!
I want to challenge you today to rest your anxious heart.
Stop trying to figure out what is next and slow down.
Stop trying to focus on what is next and smell the roses of where you are today.
At times we become so anxious about what is next that we completely miss RIGHT where God has us.
So, you’re single right now. Find the beauty in it.
Organize your home.
Learn how to cook.
Start a new hobby.
Hang out with friends.
Start a bible study.
Drink a smoothie for dinner.
Road trip somewhere.
Heather, I hear you, but I’ve been doing that. I’ve been single for awhile. I understand, but God is still trying to show you the beauty of where you are right now.
You have more time on your hands.
You have time to start that hobby.
You have time to work out.
You have time to pray.
You have time to start that bible study.
You have time to sow into other people.
Heather, I’m married and I want to have kids.
I hear you. After having two miscarriages, I’ve been there.
But, I had time to get to know my husband.
I had time to watch other people’s kids and pour into them.
I had time to discipline myself in prayer and eating healthy so when my kids came, there was some structure.
Heather, I’m sick of not knowing what is next in my life.
Sitting still is one the hardest things ever.
But, when you sit still, you get quiet and God can give you instructions for the road ahead. He can heal that trauma in your heart.
James 1:4 is one of my favorite scriptures:
“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
Some of us just need some patience.
If you’re praying, “God, give me patience.” Then plan to get tested in this area of waiting on Him.
It’s not easy, it’s not pretty, but God is working in you and He is developing the fruit of the spirit IN you.
Galatians 5:22:
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”
The Holy Spirit is producing fruit in you!
What a beautiful thing!
So, take a deep breath.
God know’s what is next in your life and you cannot CONTROL it. You can only SURRENDER it.
So let’s surrender that thing together, today.
Let’s find the beauty in where He has placed us! In Jesus name!

God, when is it my time?!
Every now and then, the Holy Spirit places it on my heart to send out a devotional to my mailing list! I pray that this encourages you!
Have you ever felt like, “God, when is it MY TIME?”
“God, please give me that job.”
“God, please let that person be the one.”
“God, please let this season be my breakthrough.”
We present constant requests to God and expect immediate answers. When He doesn’t, our prayers turn to questions like,
“God, why not me?”
“God, when is it ever my turn?”
“God, are you even listening to my prayers?”
Let me tell you this truth:
Yes, God is listening to your prayer. He knows all your requests and He knows every desire of your heart. He knows everything about you! Which is also why He knows what you NEED.
That job you wanted so bad but did not get?
He has something even better for you!
That guy you believed was “the one” but did not pursue you?
God was saving you from another heartbreak.
Are you wondering why every single peer of yours has everything you prayed for?
They had their waiting season just like you have yours.
My question to you is, why are you in an urgency to be at the finish line?
Lamentations 3:25 tells us that “The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him.”
We all have our seasons such as seasons for waiting and seasons for reaping. You will not reap every season. That just isn’t how it works! Just like farming, there has to be a planting and waiting season before you can harvest your crops.
BUT God, what is good about my waiting season?
Your waiting season indicates that God is working within you. He is teaching you to be patient. He is teaching you to trust him. He is teaching you to have faith in His promise that you too, will receive the crown of life if you continue to persevere through the trials.
I know sometimes our waiting seasons can get frustrating. It’s an endless cycle of thinking “this is it” which later ends up as “Not yet” and so we continue hoping and praying and praying and boom!
Not yet slowly turns to NO.
Our natural response is often frustration, anger and doubt but when all these feelings subside, we slowly realize that God was saving us from something that could potentially ruin our relationship with Him. He was saving us from something that could hurt us.
In these instances, Jeremiah 29:11 comes to my mind. It says, “For I know that plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
When God says no, it means He is opening another door for us. An even better one. All we have to do is pray. Pray for faith, patience and humility.
Continue to trust in Him, your reaping season is about to come! Just stay planted.

Forgiveness is for you.
Hey, sisters!
So, I’ve been sending out daily devotions from 365 with Heather for the past 137 days! And, every now and then, I send out a devotion to different mailing lists based on how I feel led.
Today, I felt led to send it to my Pinky Promise sisters! So, here’s day 138.
—
The word the Lord gave me for today’s 365 is forgiveness.
Who likes that word?
I probably won’t see a lot of hands raised because… that’s not most exciting word. We want Jesus to forgive us for everything but when it comes to people that did something to hurt us?
We want them to PAY.
We want them to FEEL what they did to us.
We want to trash them.
We want to hurt them back.
But, what if I told you that forgiveness is for you? The same forgiveness what we have in Christ that releases sinners from God’s just penalty is what you extend to others that have hurt you. It releases you so that you won’t be hindered so you can do what the Lord has called you to do.
Matthew 6:15
“But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
Whoa.
Who are you holding unforgiveness towards? Even if justified?
That family member?
That ex?
That ex’s new girlfriend?
That old friend?
That old co-worker?
Who are you helping most when you forgive the person who hurt you? Actually, you’re helping yourself more than the other person. I used to always feel like forgiving people who hurt me wasn’t fair. How do they get released but I got the pain and they got freedom without having to pay for the pain?! But, as I grew in Christ I realized that I am helping myself when I choose to forgive. I am happier, I feel better mentally and I realize that the person cannot steal my joy.
You are also helping the other person by releasing them so that God can do what He can do. If you are in the way by trying to “get them back” or getting “revenge” then God has no obligation to handle things when you are in the way. Remember that the Lord says in Romans 12:19, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay.” However, if we trust God and choose to forgive, He will take care of the rest. See, the act of forgiving is our seed of obedience to His Word. Once we’ve sown our seed, He is faithful to bring a harvest of blessing to us one way or another. I’ve learned that a lot of people don’t like your harvest, but they just don’t know how many people you’ve forgiven.
I want to encourage you today to release anyone that you may have unforgiveness against. I also want to encourage you to ask for forgiveness for anyone you may have unintentionally hurt. Something I like to do in my own life and it helps me to remain humble is to ask forgiveness to the Lord and to others if I have wronged them. The thing is, we will all mess up. We all make mistakes. It’s part of the Christian walk of pressing forward. This is why I always say, “If I ever hurt you, I apologize. It was not my intention.” Going forward with a heart that is repentant will keep your heart pure and ready to be used by the Lord at all times. It releases YOU so that you can really be powerful for God without any hindrances.
To some people, forgiveness may seem like weakness or letting an undeserving person win, but it has no connection to weakness or even to emotions. Instead, forgiveness is an act of the will. Forgiveness is not granted because a person deserves to be forgiven. No one deserves to be forgiven. Forgiveness is a intentional act of love, mercy, and grace. Forgiveness is a decision to not hold something against another person, despite what he or she has done to you.
I love Ephesians 4:32 and it says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Similarly, Colossians 3:13 says, “Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” The main point in both passages is to forgive because God first forgave you. Why do we forgive? Because we have been forgiven!
The Bible tells us that we are to forgive those who sin against us. We keep no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:5) but forgive as many times as necessary (Matthew 18:21–22). Refusing to forgive a person demonstrates resentment, bitterness, and anger, none of which are the traits of a growing Christian.
So, I encourage you today to release some folks that you have unforgiveness against.
Write their names down.
Vent.
Scream.
Cry.
Have your moment.
Then, tear up that paper and decide that you are moving forward in forgiveness right now in the name of Jesus!
It’s time to DECLUTTER.
Yes. What areas in your house need some de-cluttering?
I want you to take 3 areas and tackle those this month starting with the first week of May.
For me, it’s my closet. I’m going to pull out items that I no longer wear.
Then, I’m going to declutter an area in my kids play living room. I always just “throw” things into this drawer.
The last area for me in my storage area in the basement. It’s pretty bad and will take a good 2 weeks to organize.
Getting decluttered will HELP us to feel less stressed and more focused!
BOOK THIS MONTH
For the month of May, I want to encourage you to read a book on never giving up. Here’s a few of my recommendations:
Silent Seasons — By me!
Crushing – TD Jakes
The scripture for this week:
Luke 1:37
“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Lord, teach me to love.
Can you believe that we are on day 134 in 2020?! What a YEAR! What an intense year, right? So, I’ve still been sending out daily devotionals with 365 and the Holy Spirit told me to send this out to everyone. Soo, here you go!
—-
The Lord really pressed this question on my heart this morning.Do we love those that love us only or do we love those that hate us just as much?
Keep it real.
Ask yourself that question.
Do you love that person that really, really hurt you.
Do you love that parent that abandoned you?
Do you love that friend that talked about you?
Do you love that person that made up lies about you?
Or is your love conditional?
Ouch.
You may have read this scripture a million times, but I want you to slow down and really digest every single word:
1 Corinthians 13:1-8
1 If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!
Whew.
I don’t know about you but I’m challenged every single time I read this scripture and I ask myself, do I love like that?
The scripture says that you can do all of these “great” things for God but it means NOTHING if you don’t love the way HE does.
The Lord took me to Luke 6:32-33
“If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them! And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much!
I had to bold that scripture because I think that as believers, it’s easy to love those people that are sweet to us.
But what about loving that person that trashes you?
What about loving the person who abused you?
What about loving that person that hit you?
What about loving that person that called you names?
With tears in my eyes, this whole message really struck a cord in me. Do I really love that ex boyfriend I had as a teen who used to beat me up?
No.
Not really.
I mean, I have forgiven him. But love him? I don’t think about the man. I think about how WRONG he was for hurting me as a teenager but that’s about it.
I think there’s a misconception that says just because you love someone it means that you’ve accepted what they’ve done to you as ok.
Nah, what they did was not ok.
What they said was not ok.
How they hurt you was NOT OK.
You hear me? You didn’t deserve it.
But, it happened.
You cannot control them but you can control your response towards them.
Matthew 5:44
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
Welp.
I think that hearing these scriptures are so hard sometimes because the pain of what they did was so real.
But if you want to go higher in God and love the way He did, it’s going to cost you something.
It’s going to cost you your pride.
It’s going to cost you your ego.
It’s going to cost you forgiveness.
It’s going to cost that your flesh is torn apart and taught to think God’s kinda way.
The beautiful thing about loving the God kinda way is that He fights your battles, you become crazy anointed and USEFUL for the Master’s use. You become one of those expensive utensils we talked about in previous devotions.
So, I want you to do this with me.
I want you to forgive whoever has hurt you and choose to love them. This doesn’t mean you reach out to dysfunctional relationship and start back up. It means that between you and God — you have this pouring out. This surrender. A surrender that says, “God, I want to love the way that Jesus did. He is my great example. I want to be useful and I don’t want hate and unforgiveness to block what you have called me to do!”
So, let go of that person that hurt you as a child.
Let go of that person that abused you.
Let go of that person who trashed you.
Let go of that person who ignores you.
Let go of that person who rejected you.
Let go of that person who threw you under the bus.
Let go.
Let go.
Choose to bless them today. Pray for them. Pray that they may come into the knowledge of who Jesus is. Pray that they will live for Jesus all of the days of their life. Pray that they will repent of their sins.
Pray.
Pray.
Pray.
You think satan is going to keep trying to attack you in that area if you stand up and use the word for real against him?
Let’s be radical christians today. And tomorrow, and everyday after that.
So, include your enemies on your prayer list moving forward. Practice this until it becomes so natural to forgive whosoever for whatsoever. This fight ain’t physical. It’s spiritual. Fight with the right weapons.

Lord, am I doing what you want me to do?
Hey Friend,
I pray all is well with you! It was on my heart to send this out to my 365 group + plus everyone else!
Lord, am I doing what you want me to do?
Have you ever had someone come up and wash your windows at a stop light and then ask you for money?
Your first thought may have been, well — I didn’t ask you to wash my windows so you cannot expect me to pay for something I didn’t request. Matter of fact, you may have just came from the car wash and you didn’t need it done.
My question to you today is, do you do this to the Lord? Do you take jobs, start businesses and do things he never told you to do and then expect His blessings from it?
Hear me out, God isn’t funding what He didn’t tell you to do outside of His will.
Every once in awhile my husband and I like to review our projects, businesses and the things we have started. Taking this honest look at ourselves isn’t very glamorous. We see areas in our life that may have repeated failure in business, ministry, etc. Being this honest with ourselves is humbling to say the least. At the end of our review it challenges our life and portion. And it encourages us to ask this question:
Did God tell us to do this thing or are we doing it for the wrong reasons?
People always tell us, “Gosh, you guys do so much!” We begin to measure ourselves BY ourselves. We compare our gifts, talents and open doors to each other. But what good is it if I am doing all of this stuff that God NEVER told me to START??
2 Corinthians 10:12 New Living Translation
“Oh, don’t worry; we wouldn’t dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!”
So, for some of you, you are measuring yourself BY yourself and you don’t even realize that some people may not be obedient.
You’re jealous of an unequally yoked engagement. Honey, God told them to break up forever ago.
You’re jealous of someone getting a promotion at a job God told them to leave forever ago.
You’re jealous of someones business but God told them to be never start that thing.
You’re jealous of someone’s body but they’ve been working hard in the gym for years.
You’re jealous of someones money but you don’t realize that the girl had to compromise to get the money from the old man.
COME ON.
Can I keep it real up in here??
Are you COVETING somebody’s DISOBEDIENCE??
Don’t measure yourself by yourself. Measure yourself according to God’s word. STOP COMPARING YOUR LIFE TO OTHERS. I can give you the greek and Hebrew version of the words. I can sound “super intelligent” and break down the understanding to you but let me keep it REAL here.
Will you say “yes” to Jesus.
Will you do what He is telling you to do??
Will you look at your business and ask yourself WHY are you doing this?
Will you LAY down stuff He didn’t tell you to start?
Will you repent of the areas that you rushed ahead of God and ignored Him?
Will you give God a chance to speak into your “busy” life?
WHY?
BECAUSE..
You’re washing windows you weren’t supposed to wash.
You are tired, worn out and overwhelmed.
You’re burning bridges and life is passing you by.
You’re exhausted.
It’s time to get FOCUSED.
Let’s pray this prayer with me today:
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I am so thankful for the progress that I’ve seen in my life and what you have done in me. But today, I am turning my eyes to you and my future. You are the Alpha and the Omega, you are my beginning and my end. You have so much for me to do on this earth and I don’t want to miss anything. I choose to give my attention to you so you can reveal to me anything I may need to lay down or anything I may need to start. Help me to run this race with YOU as my focus and nothing else. Lord, help me not to ignore the areas I know I need to work on and give me the wisdom to know what to do when I feel lost.
I love you Lord! You are my rock, my hope, my salvation and my song. In Jesus name, Amen.”
THEN, get silent.
Let the Lord show you yourself.

Friend, are you a cheerleader or a critic?
Hey Friend,
So, I felt led to send this one out to everyone today! Check out today’s daily devotional from 365 with Heather BELOW!
Are you a Cheerleader or a Critic?
So, yesterday I was on the plane headed towards Atlanta. I was watching my alumni team, Michigan State take on Maryland. I’m a HUGE MSU fan and I was silently yelling at the screen. haha!
It’s safe to say that in beginning of the first half, we were getting blown out. (And we ended up catching up, then losing at the end)
As we were getting blown out, I caught a glimpse of the cheerleaders. They were on the sidelines smiling, cheering and acting as if our team wasn’t getting blown out.
They were cheering as if they just won the national championship.
Are you still cheering for YOURSELF and OTHERS even when it appears that their life and your life is “losing?”
Are you still smiling, believing the best, walking by faith and still standing in the midst of hard times?
Or, were you like me on the plane? Being critical — yelling at the screen and.. wondering WHY MSU kept missing so many shots and rebounds.
It’s easy for me to talk about a game I am not physically playing.
It’s easy for you to talk other peoples lives when you’re in the stands while they are in the christian game — living this thing.
Let’s bring it closer.
It’s easy for you to talk about the pastor when you don’t serve and you just attend church.
It’s easy to talk about people when you won’t take off your shoes to walk in their shoes.
It’s easy to talk about your boss when you barely show up for work on time.
It’s easy for you to tell people how to parent but you may not have kids.
It’s easy for you to tell someone to trust God but you, yourself aren’t really trusting Him.
GET IN THE GAME.
And, KEEP CHEERING yourself ON!
The reality is, hard times will come.
Frustrating times will come.
You will “lose” at times.
Doors will close.
LIFE happens.
But what is your response?
1 Samuel 30:6 says that David STIRRED himself up in the Lord in the mist of attacks.
Nobody is rooting for you?
CHEER YOSELF ON.
Nobody is supporting you?
Remind YOURSELF that GOD IS AS YOU LIVE FOR HIM! IF HE called you to that thing, HE WILL FINISH WHAT HE STARTED IN YOU! Remember that you’re doing what you do for HIM and NOT HUMANS. Now, humans get some benefits but our hearts are to FIRST serve Jesus.
Nobody loves you?
God loves you so MUCH THAT HE SENT HIS ONLY SON TO DIE FOR YOU.
You see, sometimes we just need a perspective check.
So, let’s SET our minds to CHEER others on. Cheering others on won’t take away from what God is doing in your life. What God has for YOU is for YOU.
Let’s SET our minds to “get in the game” of this Christian walk and stop hanging out on the sidelines.
Let’s REFUSE to be critical of others. Instead, pray for them. Yes, I know they ain’t right but you aren’t perfect either. We are ALL working out our salvation. #Grace
The scripture for this week:
“Isaiah 54:17 King James Version (KJV)
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
