Would you like to read Plague of Vampires for free?

Amazon has a Lending Library for the Kindle and you can download e-books for FREE with no due dates, including our own book Plague of Vampires along with more than another 800,000 book titles.

You only need two things to use the Lending Library. First is own any version of a Kindle and second to have a Prime membership. If you can meet these two requirements you can legally download and read our book at your own pace.

Worry about the authors? Good news all authors do get paid for every book borrowed from the lending library.

Amazon Plague of Vampires webpage for e-books

Need instructions on how to do this? Go to the Plague of Vampires website.

Writing status - for March 2015

I was with some friends last fall having dinner and while talking about stories and other things I said: “Wouldn’t it be cool if X happen.” And when on to describe my idea in more detail. After I was finished everyone said, to stop working on what I was working on and work on the X idea.

Since then the I have been working on the X project in my free time.

Off topic: Saw on a T-Shirt

My patronus is a tribble with a sonic screwdriver piloting an x-wing into Mordor.

Talk about crossing the streams.

Ever wanted to kill an author?

I just finished the third book of the Dire Earth Cycle – “The Plague Forge” and I will write a longer review of it late. However, I’m at the second to last chapter. We are about to finally find out what is going on. The character that has all the answers opens their mouth to explain things and the chapter ends.

In a split second I swore that if the book ends here without giving us the answer I would hunt the author, The Plague Forge (Dire Earth Cycle, #3) by Jason M. Hough Jason M. Hough, down and kill him. Good news the next chapter was an epilog which did explain most of it.

Here is the question to my readers of this blog. Have you ever thought about hunting down an author because of something that happen in the book?

Off topic - a very bad day

This day totally sucked the big one.

It started with a phone call from the college in which I was told that because a full time teacher could not fill his classes he was going to take my class which was full. Taking this class away from me is leaving me with no class to teach.

This will be the first semester (not counting summer school) which I have not taught in like 20 years.

Starting 2014

Hello everyone,

It is a start of another wonderful year. Working on the second book in the Plague of Vampires series and Liz is writing the first draft of a total different novel.

Also looking to do some marketing changes on the first book. I must confess that I did not spend that much time in 2013 doing the marketing.

I'm really looking into leaving B&N, Nook, Smashwords and the other sites and going with just Amazon; with their KDP Select program.

LosCon 2013 - Post convention.

Sales at the convention were good so we are very happy. But I don't want to talk about our book at the moment.

I meet a lot of people at LosCon 40 this weekend. Some of these people were famous authors, some film makers and many others. But what impressed me the most was meeting a very young girl: Coco. She is in the Fifth grade and she has taught herself how to build robots and use a 3d printer. She gave a Great presentation on how she learned to do these things and it was just amazing.

At the end she asked the basic question: “Why are we not teaching more girls how to solder and build things?”

I honestly think I have seen the next Steve Jobs.

You can check out what she has done at her website: Very Happy Robot website
