Ricardo Chao Prieto (Puente Castro, León, 1975) es licenciado en Historia, diplomado en Biblioteconomía y Documentación y especialista universitario en Archivística.

Escribió la monografía “Alfonso VI de León y su reino”, y es coautor de diversas obras de temática leonesa. Ha participado en la realización de varias exposiciones y documentales y fue comisario de “Tormentaria: las máquinas de asedio de la Antigüedad al reino de León”.

Su faceta como divulgador de la Historia de León se ha plasmado en numerosas conferencias y artículos publicados en prensa, además de su conocido blog Corazón de León. En la actualidad es profesor de Ciencias Sociales en el Colegio Nuestra Madre del Buen Consejo y está realizando su tesis doctoral.
