A Brief Introduction
Oh, who am I kidding? I've never been brief about anything. Ever. In my life.
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog. I'm a new author, and my first book, "I Work Better With An Audience: Thoughts on Life, Love, Food and Jiggly Bits" will be available in February. It's a collection of humorous essays on a variety of topics.
My influences range from Joan Rivers, Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfeld, George Carlin...really, too many to mention.
What else? Hmmm. I tend to repeat myself. Not because I forgot what I said, but because I'm sure no one is listening. So I tend to repeat myself. I'm sorry, what?
I can't decide if I'm bitter, pessimistic, or cautiously guarded. But I also have no problem talking to the stranger next to me in line at Trader Joe's, and at Meijer the other day, some lady told me out of the blue that McCormick's makes a great white chicken chili seasoning. So I must not have too big a dark cloud following me around.
I like to think of myself as quite the sophisticate, but one of my favorite meals is tuna casserole. I also trip over lint, have a soft spot for Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons, and my socks always fall down. So I'll let the world make the decision on that issue.
And... I'm still single. I'll let the enormous surprise over that fact die down at an appropriate rate. Oh, and I have a cat. (Go ahead and insert a crazy-cat-lady-joke here, but I only have one, and quite frankly, I think single women with birds are much nuttier. Discuss.)
So, life is weird. Take the time to examine your navel, but have a laugh while you're doing it. Come along for the ride.
