Writing like crazy
As someone who spends equal amounts of time writing and reading stories, I often only get the pleasure of being surprised by the latter.
Usually, I see all the twists and turns coming in my own stories because, well, I'm the one doing the storytelling! Yet every once in a while, every so often, I find that I surprise even myself! I simply love it when my carefully crafted "plan" is shattered because one of my FICTIONAL CHARACTERS goes off the rails and does something totally unexpected all on their own!

The Man from Rome
Hello all!
First time blogger here, never tried it before.
Well, today marks the 50,000 word mark for my new book, The Man from Rome. Its a supernatural thriller set in modern day Rome. My main character, "the man" is an unnamed immortal who tirelessly works to shield the Eternal City from attacks by other ancient powers. Drawing from Greco Roman mythology as well as Judeo Christian, I'm hoping to create a world so layered and seductive that readers will just fall in love and be unable to put their kindles down!
I can't wait to start releasing more details, you know, getting people excited, but right now I need to stay focused on reading and writing. Who knew homework could be so fun!
