The Death of a Friend
It's a sad day when a writer realizes that one or more of their characters must die. JL and I have come to know our characters better than some of our own family members. In fact they have become our family and we are feeling remorse, knowing what lies ahead for the selected few. It’s not that we don’t like them, we do. It is just time for someone to go. We were told once that someone had to die. We managed to get through the first book without a loss but now—we realize that someone indeed needs to fade from the pages. After spending five years with these now beloved friends, the decision has been made that more than one will be biting the dust. When and where will their fate be completed? It could be in the second book of The Primortus Chronicles, which we are writing right now and/or in the third and final book. (sigh)

Distractions. Why????
Do you ever notice that when you need to get some writing done that so many other things pop up that you NEED to do? Like you have to organize your sock drawer cause that is so important. Or you need to color coordinate your hair barrettes even though you don't wear them anymore. Sudden urge to put your books in a different order then put them back the way you had them to begin with. I bet there are many other important things that writers NEED to get done when writing is supposed to be happening. Any thoughts on how to stop this madness?

To Book Review or Book Report?
Why is it that many of the Book Reviews I have read are really Book Reports? Shouldn't the review be about what the reader liked about the book not the retelling of the story? What do you think?
