Matthew is an asexual, transgender author from the wet and windy British Isles.

Matt writes LGBT novels, both adult and young adult, and particularly enjoys digging into the weird and wonderful diversity of people all across the sexuality and gender spectrums. When not writing, Matt is usually asleep, or crunching numbers at his day job. Free time is not really a concept here.

He is also owned by an enormous black cat. Approach with caution.

“Jayden’s brain stalled. He just called you fit! the voice shrieked. It was beside itself. He just called you fit! That settles it, he’s gay, gay as a christening robe, now get your head out of the sink and kiss him! “Um,” he said instead. “You get brain freeze under there?”
Matthew J. Metzger, Vivaldi in the Dark

“If you act like Beatriz is going to get hurt by something, she’ll pick up on it and get scared of it, too. Or you can act like she’s got superpowers and can take on the world, then so will she.”
Matthew J. Metzger, Erik the Pink

“You loving me, that’s heavy. I’m not the kid anyone ever relied on. Not my folks, not Lizzie, not the other kids at school, and I thought not you. I’m not special to anyone, never have been. It’s not what I am.
I’m everyone’s summer. I’m the kid that they can mess about with, have a fling with, know for a bit, whatever, then move on and out and up and not have to worry about any backlash or anything. I’m that kid, to everyone. And that should include you.
Only somehow it doesn’t include you.”
Matthew J. Metzger, Our Last Summer

Aw, thank you! And I apologise for the sequel in advance. It's, uh. Dark.

Aw, thank you :) Mind you, you'll want to kill me once you read the sequel. If VitD was tough to write, The Devil's Trill Sonata was like torture :S
