2022 Wrap up and plans for 2023
This is the time of year when I write a wrap up blog post to reflect on what I've achieved over the past year.
To be honest, the thought of analysing my achievements (or rather non-achievements) is a little depressing, but here's how it went ...
PUBLISHING
Publishing wise, I didn't do a great deal. Beneath the Waves of the Neversea is the only title I released this year as part of the Realm of Darkness boxset. I had planned to have the next two books in the Wonder in Neverland series out by now...

2021 Wrap Up and Plans for 2022
The past couple of years have not been easy, and the state of the world has thrown many obstacles and distractions at us. Still, when I look back over what I’ve achieved in 2021, I realise that I haven’t just sat around feeling sorry for myself. I may not have done as much writing and publishing as I have in previous years, but I’m still proud of the progress I’ve made.
Let’s take a look at my year …
Published titles
I released the two short fairy tales I previously had in boxsets. Dance of Wishes ...

At the end of 2019, I promised to do better in 2020. Well its probably safe to say that weve all had a pretty topsy-turvy year. 2020 didnt go as planned for many of us. Still, when I look back on this year, Im happy with what Ive achieved.

With my plans for 2020, I had a few titles on my list that I wanted to work on. Check out my 2019 wrap up post to see the goals I set.

COVER REVEAL: The Lovely Dark
No purchase necessary.
The Lovely DarkYou might not know this, but I design all my own covers through my design business KILA Designs, and the cover for The Lovely Dark was by far the hardest cover I've ever done. I went through quite a few concepts, and it took months of searching to finally find the right image to tell my story.
What do you think?
Book blurb:
Three teenagers.
One witch.
Twelve souls.

Do you have a story idea but don’t know where or how to start writing?
Creative writing isn’t easy. Sometimes the words flow from our fingertips, and other times they swim around in our minds in a jumbled mess. One day we can be full of inspiration, drinking endless cups of tea, and the...

WRITING GROUPS {on-line and face to face}

When I started writing, I had no idea what I was doing. I spent two years writing and rewriting my first novel, and I did it mostly alone. I had one close friend who read everything I wrote, but I was too scared to show anyone else.
When I made the decision to self-publish, again I had no idea what I was doing. I went in blind and fumbled my way through, with no help from anyone else. It wasn’t until after Fall For Me was published that I started looking for ways to connect with other writers...

WRITING PROMPTS {looking for inspiration}

Every writer will tell you that they go through stages when they are uninspired and don’t feel like writing. Since starting my write chain via Writerology last year, I have written every day for 79 days. The #writechain has really helped with my motivation, but there have still been times when I haven’t wanted to work on my current WIP because … meh.
This is where writing prompts have come in, and wow! I really love these little juicy sentences. Writing prompts can be interpreted any way you c...
