Well, I used to be a museum curator but now I'm a writer and a filmmaker! Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do what you want in life - my mantra is 'if you believe it, you can achieve it!'

The Drifters Series was supposed to start out as three books but has expanded to fifteen. The Dallas White Series is growing, and I just completed my first feature film, Still The Water. My mother always said I had my head in the clouds - I guess she was right! I do love to 'imagine,' and am now working on a new book (Dallas, three) and a new screenplay (Kristian's Cross). Oh, and did I tell you the Drifters series has been optioned for television? Can't wait to see where that lands!

I live with my partner Stephen and my striped cat Oliver (Lucy

I also love the high that comes from fine-tuning passages to the point that they just feel perfect. Usually this takes three or four passes. Rereading those is so satisfying! I usually catch myself saying, "Did I write that? Who wrote that?" I surprise myself at times! My absolute favorite passage is in book ten, Into The Blue - Josh meeting his horse, Blue, for the first time. They're both troubled souls. I loved writing that chapter. And nothing in the world can equal how blessed I feel to reread it and know that it came from me. Pure, sweet joy. (And usually a few happy, grateful tears for the powers-that-be in the universe that granted me such a treasured gift).(less)

Sometimes Ya Just Gotta Feel The Feels

I’m not writing these days —And I miss it.

For the first time in what seems like forever, summer passed without hours of frantic typing and a constant glance at the clock to see how many hours I had left each day to pound out a new book or screenplay.

Why?

I started the summer with Covid, which wasn’t a huge surprise since I took a chance and travelled to the Banff World Media Festival in June. A
