Just like with her other books, everything Maya Angelou touched turned to gold. Her writing made me cry and truly sit with the words she wrote, inspiring deep soul searching.

I actually came across this book in Germany in 2012, and have been loving this book ever since. It's sarcastic, entertaining, and the very British tone really makes the history come alive, and certainly not boring. ...more
