When I was growing up I thought that all families lived on military bases and all fathers got saluted. Heady stuff for a little girl.

An "army brat," I was 12 when my dad retired and we moved to Swarthmore, PA to begin civilian life. Looking back, I'd have to say that my parents chose wisely. Much of what is dear to me was (and is to this day) valued and celebrated in that town.

I have a BA (Connecticut College) and a MS degree (SUNY Brockport) and live in the Finger Lakes region of New York state with my husband and our son, two dogs and two cats. One of those dogs, "Tessa," is the cover diva on my first book!
