"This was a GoodReads giveaway win of a Kindle ebook.
A light hearted time travel story, rated G (or I should say a 6/10). Follow this family as they skip through the centuries. I liked the approach. It was entertaining. Have a GoodReads." Read more of this review » |

Greg Kimball just wanted a normal family vacation.
Instead, he boards a flight at Gate 12… and lands in Ancient Rome.
With his wife, two sharp-eyed kids, and his quietly unstoppable mother in tow, Greg is about to discover that history isn’t something you study.
It’s something that smells like goats.
From pirate ships to medieval cathedrals, from Revolutionary battlefields to 1926 Harlem, the Kimball family tumbles through centuries — armed with duct tape, snacks, and the unshakable instinct to argue about logistics.
But as each era forces them to adapt, something unexpected happens:
They start seeing each other differently.
Greg — the overprepared, underappreciated dad — may finally be forced to step up in ways no itinerary could predict.
Dana begins to reconsider what she thought she knew.
The kids prove more capable than anyone expected.
And somewhere in the background, an uneasy presence suggests their journey may not be entirely accidental.
Funny, fast-paced, and surprisingly moving, Gate 12 Through Time is the kind of book you pick up for the plane and finish before landing.
Perfect for readers who love:
Warm family adventures
Smart, character-driven comedy
Time travel without the sci-fi heaviness
Vacation reads with heart
Stories that make you laugh and then quietly hit you later
If you’ve ever rushed through an airport wishing you could slow down… this story might change how you travel.
Boarding now.
