Peter Wilben is the pen name of acclaimed Irish author Peter Cunningham.

In 1982 while on holidays in Antigua Peter’s briefcase was stolen. He spent the next 14 days locked in his room, writing the first 25,000 words of Noble Lord. It’s a thriller about a man who goes on holidays, has his briefcase stolen and stumbles on a plot by terrorists to assassinate the Queen at the Epsom Derby. A few months later, Peter was offered a publishing contract. He has been a full-time writer ever since.

The central her is Joe Grace, a trans-Atlantic Irishman with the Midas touch when it comes to investing, but who also has the knack of landing into trouble. Joe’s moral compass is very clear, something that doesn’t always play well with the money moguls he does business with on Wall Street, or in London, or Hong Kong. Joe’s investors trust him with their money and he repays that trust. But people — bad people — try to take advantage of Joe for their own selfish and evil reasons. These bad people, who are often respected figures at the pinnacle of their firms or professions, want to get their hands on the money Joe has been entrusted with. They try to use Joe to advance their own warped agendas. It is a classic confrontation of good versus evil, of greed and a lust for power against the cry for justice. The result is a series of spine-chilling adventures.

On witnessing the dramatic changes occurring in the publishing industry over the past number of years, Peter saw an opportunity to find new readers online for his books.

While many authors, even those of a younger generation, are reluctant to forgo print and embrace digital, the independent re release of the Joe Grace novels as an ebook only series represents the empowerment of authors in the digital age.

It was budget airlines that made me get a Kindle.
